SEC Scheduling -- No More Divisions - Still 8 Games

Even if they go to 9 conference games we could still play OOC teams, just have to schedule them opposite FSU.
Something like this, using Utah as an example

Year 1: Home: SEC1, SEC2, SEC3, SEC4, FSU, Cupcake..Away: SEC5, SEC6, SEC7, SEC8, Utah Neutral: Georgia
Year 2: Home: SEC5, SEC6, SEC7, SEC8, Cupcake, Utah..Away: SEC1, SEC2, SEC3, SEC4, FSU Neutral: Georgia

 

I like that schedule...it just represents a permanent 6 game home schedule while 7 home games have been the the rule in most of the last 30 years. Does UF want to give up that extra ticket revenue.

..and there it is, the boyz in Birmingham already charted and plotted the 2024 schedules. I would bet a large sum that they won’t have Alabama & Georgia playing each other, in the regular season.

 

One team could face the top 3 in the country while another faces none. Schedule determines that? At least with a 12 team playoff, it’ll be settled on the field.

Well we just morphed back the days where AL would play the two Mississippi schools, Auburn, Vandy, LSU, and Tennessee and go pick up their SEC title. Disgusting that when the NCAA is finally actually trying to determine a true champion with a playoff the SEC is in full reverse mode.

Yes, KronoGator, looks like the Big Ten got down to business and worked out a pretty good plan. Makes us, (SEC) look a bit inept. Uh, maybe I should replace “a bit” with “pretty damned”.

 

The big ten has their tv deal and the sec is working on theirs. I don’t think it’s that they can’t make up their minds, they just won’t play the ninth game for free.
