I like Combs. His cover of Fast Car is excellent.

I thought he'd nail this cover too, but I think it's just OK. It could be much better.

I'm also not sure they were doing flat screens back then. Maybe if you called one of the big projection tv's a flat screen, but that's not really how they were marketed. First ones I remember being marketed that way were right around 2000, and they were just a regular old console tv with a flat piece of glass, and maybe went up to like a 37? Then you jumped to a projection tv, I'm pretty sure. Plasmas started becoming popular right around that same time. I think JP was long gone by then though, wasn't it?

*Looks like they stopped doing the JP games mid 2000's, so flat screens were becoming pretty popular at the end of that era. I remember watching the JP games on one of my dads friends big projection tv's, "big" like 50".

Agree. Fast Car is very good cover in my opinion. I like it as much if not more than Chapman's original.

I like that even though he is a man singing a song from a woman's perspective, he didnt change a word, do as to be true to the original.

My biggest tube TV was a 31" Panasonic and it was so heavy it could have anchored a 31' boat in rough seas. I finally upgraded to a 50" Panasonic plasma TV, which also has a glass screen....it is also heavy as heck, but the picture almost 20 years later is incredible.

Combs is actually the only new country I like. Rest of it is garbage. His cover of Brand New Man is solid as well.

I like Combs, but Zach Bryan is the best right now in my opinion.

That melody is super familiar to me, but I can't place it. Is this a new arrangement of an older ESPN college football intro song or something like that?

I forgot he covered that. Yes, I agree, very good. Seems like a lot of covers for him, but most of his original stuff really good too.

I use to hate country. Then a young lady got me into it twenty years ago. Now I'm to the point if it's not close to pure country, I don't like it. All this country pop stuff is "garbage" to me, too- this morning I saw a "country" video with Marshmello in it- MARSHMELLO?!?... GTFOH!

Give me Kenny Chesney and the late great Toby Keith and I'm happy. The new stuff like Combs and Cody Johnson works for me, too.

That's about as country as it gets- super talented.

The girl that got me into country, one of her favorite songs is "In Your Love".

I'm a little disappointed that the SEC on ABC isn't free through their website. That was my favorite part of games on CBS. I didn't have to waste time sorting through sketchy streams to find a stable one that made it through the whole game.

Those old plasmas were heavy sob’s. That big piece of glass is easy to snap if it’s not kept vertical. Probably not a great idea to lay an lcd on it’s side either.
