Don't you love how Kirbstreit can't bring himself to even mention the Texas drives that were stopped by holding calls? I mean even if you think the discrepancy is legit you can't even mention it? That is BS and I'd hope someone would call out that apparently the ESPN announcers feel like they can't even talk about the penalty discrepancy which has had a huge impact on this game. Like I said - legit or not (which they are not), you could talk about it from the standpoint of Texas making errors with holding or something like that.

@benheb I think most crews on most networks are given instructions about giving opinions on officiating discrepancy.

Given that UT has had more than double the plays, it explains about half the discrepancy.

 

Becks shoulder is toast, crowd the line, stop the run, make him throw some ints, no penalties.

If Stockton sucks in the second half and UGly goes down big, would Kirby hide the severity of Beck's injury out of fear they could be bumped from the playoffs?

 

Doubt they get bumped if they lose a “close” game to a team they beat once.

 

You know what would absolutely piss of the noles? If ga loses with a subpar offense performance this half with their back up qb, and still make the playoffs. They would lose their mind.

 

Cue hole fans crying that georgia doesn't deserve to be in playoff because their qb got hurt!
