Yeah, I read that in the previous post. I guess someone else thought he was a sophomore.

Well, I at least did my homework on top of having watched a couple of tOSU games. Again, I never said sit as you have now twice alluded to, your words not mine.
JMO, Smith will not start as a freshman with tOSU while he would start with UF.

You are grossly out of line to be calling me or anyone names on this site. I really don't care if we disagree, but don't be a frustrated name caller because we do disagree. You approached me first, so how about moving along.

Watch his highlights. He could be elite at S, Edge, MLB, RB, or receiver. The guy is a stud and worth the 5th star he got on Rivals.

Well, yeah. His highlights are the good stuff. I'm not saying he isn't a stud. I just asked how he was evaluated, because his numbers at LB aren't eyepopping. Fifteen tackles thru 7/8 games make me wonder. But then again, they may have transposed his tackle numbers and it might be 51 instead of 15. In that case he's averaging over 6 tackles a game. His numbers at RB are great though.

Possibly he is getting a lot more snaps on offense than at LB? Does the school publish snaps played stats for individual players.

I would say that AR will ruin his career but it’s doubtful that AR lasts that long in the NFL (as a QB).

I don't consider our Special teams coach to be a "game changer" at this point it time... not in a good way.

Some kids have super high numbers and never pan out. Some have low numbers and are elite. He plays both ways in multiple positions. You don't have to watch much to see he has special characteristics.

Does Hartline design the plays, and does he call the plays on offense? I haven't noticed strikingly huge passing yards coming from OSU's offense. Are the OSU receivers in the top 5 or 6 in the entire nation?

Receivers want to catch the ball and make plays... Is that what OSU is doing with regard to their receivers?

Possibly he is a team player and they need him more at RB. He may only be playing LB during critical points in the game. Just guessing.

Uhh, what? They have like 1-200 more passing yards. Their starting QB has 40 more passing yards than Mertz.

The link said 23, but was for 22-23 for them. You’re right.

Weird. It says 23 in the link, at the top of the page, and in the selection box, but if you open the selection box and select 23 again, it changes to this year’s stats, which are comparable to ours @2134.

For all the talk about OSU passing, they have taken quite a step back this year. They have the best WR in the nation, a slew of top WRs from each class, and a highly rated QB, yet they have barely any more passing yards than UF. Maybe Hartline is a better position coach than OC

Has Seaton changed positions? Is he really a deep threat on the skinny post route?

He's the starting RB so I doubt he's getting nearly as many snaps on defense he did last year at Woodward.

He played the entire on defense this past friday night and was inserted on offense late bc Buchholz was struggling to win. FTR he took the game over with his performance on O to secure the win

Hope so, because if he is, then he'll be a starter from day one with what we've seen from our current LBs.
