Funny thing, now that you say it…I don’t think I have any maga friends either.
Most people I know voted for Trump out of disgust of the democrats.

I am completely biased but everything you are looking for can be found in a Dachshund (depending on your definition of medium/Snook was stout and could have crushed the Dachshund Races in Buda Texas).

Snook was the absolute best! My wife and I have not been able to make the decision to get another Dog since he passed on Fathers Day 2021. It truly was an amazing day for him and we knew the time was coming but I was in denial. Granted that night I knew it was happening though I refused to believe it. That morning he fell asleep in our sun room and went to wait for us at the Pearly Gates.

He would protect our kids to no end. And was the absolute best friend. Would try to take down a horse (alligator) if necessary (not sure the outcome). Definitely a leader and not a liberal!

Proof he would have crushed it at the Dachshund Races!

I have yet to see a dog not hump another dog of the same sex at some point, might need to go with a cat

Best dog we ever had was a rottie/shep mix. Other than being large, about 110 pounds, he fits the description. Would bark like crazy at the door, but would lie down on command and be a total sweetheart; a 110 pound lap dog. Unless he felt threatened, or if he felt one of the kids was threatened. Became a scary dog. Thankfully, didn't happen often.

Just adopted a rescue that we think is an Australian Kelpie. He's still a pup, but will probably be about 55 to 60 pounds. Very high spirited and loves the water. Being part of the shepherd breeds, he's also very protective already of the family, but when we're home alone, he's a very sweet, loving dog.

I might have the only lab who's scared of the water. Won't go near my pool.

Cockers may be a good fit, they are good kid dogs and territorial. Also they are so stupid they will take on gators (mine have treed black bears, granted they run away from loose plastic bags)

I have stories about heel biting, but in my neighborhood everyone is armed to the teeth and all you need are dogs to "flush" the vermin. They were in fact bred for flushing.

They run a bit on the gay side, my female cocker humps my two males daily. Vet says it's a dominance thing, the bitch definitely calls the shots. I have no answer for the biology there, nor do I want one.

They are great with kids and are very attentive and protective of them if there is anything strange going on near them (the kids not the dog). Good mannered, smart. They do like to run so a back yard is good. Very friendly after they get to know someone.

Yellow lab but they shed like a mofo. Just a big ass wannabe lapdog that lives for belly rubs and yes, barks at mormons or johovas or if a nearby squirrel farted when we have no clue what hes barking at. Anything supposedly made for long lasting chew lasts only milleseconds with this one. Make sure you dont leave out anything you don't want to be its next chew toy. Other than that its great!

Nope. Of my three.. one LoVED the pool, one liked it if the first one will get in with him and play.. and one would not go on the patio around the pool in fear I will throw him in. For the record. I only did that once.. he acted so put out with me.. like I hurt his feelings. But he hated the water.
