Not trying to be insulting but I don't think he was thinking much. I'm not rooting against the guy but some kids get recruited because they are just so athletically superior to their high school comp. When everyone is an athlete it's the mental stuff that separates everyone.

Xavier Lee was an all world QB recruit for fsu in the 90s. Went to my highschool a little after my time. Was well known to get passed on to each grade despite doing no school work. Absolutely could not learn a play book for fsu and never did anything in college because of it.

Looks like he is just winging it out there

Idk looks like he had two many keys and ran himself out of the play. Dude probably needs to be an Edge instead of LB.

Wonder why he hasn't been moved considering that seems to be the consensus.

I don't think this is anywhere near an isolated event. We all thought he took major steps early on this season but he reverted badly.

I don't trust Bateman's and Chaos' opinions if they thought bringing Scooby for LB was a good idea.

We shall know how good/bad the DC’s system is in ‘24. Last year was a horror show but it’s first season, he got a mulligan.

Agree with this. Often though the players were stuck in analysis vs downhill play. New DC trying to do too much with his scheme for the players he has? If AA is a dud vs a savant it does nor bode well. I, at least, have the first part of savant down.

Anyone noticed we basically replaced Scooby with Pup? Did we feel it important to keep a dog nickname in that spot? Will Pup be a scarier dog than Scooby?

If they start for TAMU talk about a goldmine of opportunities for our O to pick them apart. It's going to be a tough year in Aggie-land imho.

I heard AA's defensive scheme in his first presser, and I loved the idea of 4 and 5 man defensive fronts, It's now very clear that those old coaches preferred the failed 3-4 base scheme that's outdated and obsolete.

I'm glad we got rid of that slow passive "prevent" defensive scheme. AA will right the defense.

They should. But either way he has to improve his tackling.

Supposedly one of the reasons he left is that's what we wanted to do

Thought so too, but we were so desperate to shore up the LB room , so that wasn’t going to happen.

I can’t think of any player we’ve moved that has performed well.

Best of luck to him . I was really excited when we landed him.
