The only thing I would think is to join the SEC and he would have better recruiting probably. But he's fixing to have the Big 12 pretty much wide open to himself. Auburn would be strong with him coaching no doubt though. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Cindy Ball Malone at UCF or maybe Pete Damour from VT.

Not sure, but still hope he takes the call. Unless Cohen has a ace up his sleeve, doubtful, he will get the call.

May not want to stay in depleted B12(SB wise), get out of OU shadow, recruiting, etc

The highest SB HC salary to those 2 schools is chicken scratch, so money wont do it.

Only need like 2 or 3 SEC wins to wrap up post season birth. But not really an issue I guess.

For the record Im not a huge fan ,, way to high strung for my taste. But probably biggest/best name that could leave.

I guess the wild card is how the new conference impacts the program. They certainly will be top dog...and that means winning a lot of games and conference titles. But does that also mean a decrease in interest and eventually talent drop that impacts their national competitiveness. By the same token, the SEC will be insane and do you want to be in a conference where historically you may be approx the 8th best program(and that may be generous)

    Last 10 years(minus covid).. 5 top 3s & 4 8th-11th. So in the 6-7 range ;)

All of the 8-11s were Dean, his best year was last year at 3rd(didnt host..lol). If didnt have Penta would of been 11-12 every year.

Myers never finished worse than 3rd.

Prior to Myers Tina Dees was basically a glorified PE teacher.

Did not know that AU is 2-7 in the SEC. Why do they have a tie on their record?

B/C they tied VT.(rain) Theyve also had 6 rain outs.. I doubt they care now, but if dont reschedule i doubt they finishe .500 overall. So even with the SEC 'auto bid' wouldnt qualify for ncaaT

I forget, does SB SECT take everyoe now? If no, AU could be hosting and watching..lol

Team quit on Dean Sunday, right after he quit on them. Took Penta out in 4th w/ a 2 run lead for who knows why? Went from up 6-1 to run ruled 2 innings later.

    Vols & LSU next 6..

What Myers did at Auburn shows you what good coaching and getting kids to buy in can do to a program. Baggage aside he was a great coach. The Auburn program can have a high ceiling if they get the right coach. Should've won a natty during that time.

Gerry Glasco seems to be the early front runner..

Gerry Glasco — Louisiana head coach

Gerry Glasco is a name Auburn fans might’ve heard before. That’s because Glasco spent very, very brief amount of time at Auburn in 2017, when he was announced as an assistant coach under Dean. However, just two months after his arrival, Glasco was poached by the Ragin’ Cajuns of Louisiana and has served as ULL’s head coach ever since. Coming into this season, Glasco has compiled a 255-69 record at Louisiana and has led the Ragin’ Cajuns to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances.
