My brother Graduated from Doniphan. My best friend still lives there and is a Principal at a high school. He’s a big Tiger fan. It’s his only flaw. LOL
There is also a Lambert’s in (oddly enough) Foley, AL, which is just outside of Gulf Shores. Same family owned it, same throwed rolls.
I thought the museum and displays in the base building were also very interesting. Not just going up to the top.
My daughter attends college in the southwestern part of the state, the ozarks are beautiful, the people have great southern hospitality, lots of cool Route 66 spots, and many great barbecue spots.
Going up top was cool too. You get to see some of the internal structure of the arch. I do agree with you that the museum (that is underground) is as good as it can get for being a museum! The displays were good too.
My mother-in-law gave birth to her first child in the hospital across the road from the zoo. The hospital is no longer there. Back then there was no air conditioning, and so they kept the windows open for ventilation. Right after delivering the child, she heard elephant trumpeting at the zoo. She thought that was a good sign for the arrival of her first child.
SW Missouri State (I have a customer that went there after transferring from another Missouri school), Drury College (my FIL went there) or somewhere else?
