Being old (but not as old as some of you lol). I always remember Dad and I in the Dove field listening to it on the radio. The game always seemed to be played on the start of phase one.
ALL of the music and ALL of the food! C'mon.....it's Louisiana. Too much to list. Red fishing is amazing.
You're right. I got the info from an LSU site, so I guess they tried to minimize it I'll edit my post. Thank you.
When I lived in Texas, a group of 10 friends would drive to Livonia Louisiana (10 miles west of Baton Rouge), for a dining experience at Joe’s Dreyfuss Store. LSU fans will remember Joe’s as the perfect venue after a home game: make a reservation, sit on the lawn, and wait to be called. New Orleans chefs and gourmet Cajun food at Baton Rouge prices. LSU folks would buy rounds of drinks while sitting in the field.
The scent at 2am in the French Quarter makes a sweaty fat guy smell attractive. Or, so I’ve been told
Progressively? Lol, that show has been scripted since day one and the editing is HORRENDOUS. Show four different boats and different sized gators during one fight, and the fighting is all for show too. The real guys just gently pull them to the surface and pop em in the head, game over in a matter of seconds. They almost never have to struggle with them. Some of the guys that quit after the first season quit because the show was trying to force them to fight with their family members. It’s an awful show and an awful production.
The best thing about Louisiana, besides the food, is that we won't be there on Saturday. [edit] The second best thing from Louisiana is the United Cajun Navy that is volunteering boats, supplies, and services to help in Florida with Ian rescue and recovery efforts. God bless them all.
