Gladys Knight and the Pips Ray Charles Otis Reading Little Richard James Brown Alan Jackson Travis Tritt Allman Brothers Ray Stevens Johnny Mercer Luke Bryan R.E.M B-52s to name a few. The state has definitely turned out some music in all genres.
Mercier’s orchards, Blue Ridge… Apples, Peaches, Cherries, Blueberries etc., and yes they also have pumpkin pie for those that are old enough for the Jay and The Techniques reference… but then again “ You were young and so was I”.
Old Town Savanna, the historic district is really quite stunning. All the squares with giant Oaks. The Traylor Park Restaurant is really exceptionally good. Buckhead is very cool. My buddy used to live on the river there. Lotta drunk folks tubing by. Back in the day we used to go to the Limelight-quite the club in its day! We toured that area this summer because my daughter is looking at SCAD Savanna College of Art and Design. Although, I personally want her to go to Ringling College of Art and Animation in Sarasota. But she'll probably want to stay in Cal and go to Laguna College of Art and Design. A lot to like about Georgia except the Dawgs! Go Gators
