Saudi Arabia Liberalizes Enough to Open First Liquor Store

This is great news. I’ve been wanting to live in SA for decades but the only thing keeping me away was no liquor stores. Now they will have one, it is now a full fledged paradise.

 

I’m not spoiling to move to SA. But I think I’d do okay there.

I mean, it’s not like I’d have hankering to burn the Koran, in a public place, or fornicate in the street.

That would be straight out of the Russian playbook. The Russians even have a term for it. Kompromat. It is a business tool for them. Now ask yourself who did a lot if business with russia long before he became a politician and has a thing for young women.

 

You would do well to take a 2-3 week vacation there before making any permanent moves

Seems like things are improving over time but between the climate, alcohol regulations, dress code restrictions, and discrimination against women, can't say that it sounds like a great time to me.
