I will never appreciate, or cheer, his War of Hate. I have never seen a politician so consumed with an agenda of expanding Hate like DeSantis.

It appears that you make exceptions.

All this non-hate was spread just in like the last day or so.

I’m not a satanist, although I get what they are doing and support it fully. They really only show up to fight America turning into a Christian theocracy, which I fully support. You want an opening prayer at city council meetings? they can give their hail Satan prayers, too…. You want religious displays at the court house, they get a Satan statue, too…. You want religion in the classroom, let’s do all religions…. That’s the only reasonable interpretation of the constitution, although I’d perfer to keep religion out of government altogether….

The only reason why they can do those things is because Christians keep trying to expand their “religious freedom” because they want to shove Jesus in everyone’s face. They should stop when Christians stop.

I know Satan isn’t real and as discussed earlier, most of them know that, too. They just adopted Satan as their fake deity to make a point. Satanists are wonderful people doing great work to support the constitution and keep the separation of church and state.

The Satan reference in Satanic Temple is a metaphor for believing in science rather than science fiction.

Satan doesn't even require you to worship him in order to have his love. What a humble deity.

Ira & Charlie say otherwise. BTW, this book is so good literally from the 1st paragraph. I highly recommend it; liking the Louvin bros not required.

Where did I do that? Where have I dismissed anything? Ever? I've always been very hard on church leaders who are hypocritical. (Sex, Money, you name it) I am neither catholic or southern baptist. I believe denominations within the Christian faith are just tools to separate us anyway and have no biblical grounds for existing and create this unhealthy need to hide things to defend the denomination... but I digress.

I have zero issue with pointing out wrong doong. I clearly stated that, but to just flippantly mock and ridicule people of faith in the general sense isnt cool at all.

    Do you disagree?

As much as I love to mock religion, I don’t wanna give Tilly a seizure. So, I’ll kinda do a 180. Been painting my basement for about a week. I’ve been really bored with music lately so decided to only listen to full albums that I’ve never heard before. Not that it was a contest, the clear winner was Sister Rosetta Tharpe’s Gospel Train. Sounds really good for 1955!!! Here’s a taste.

P.s runner up - Scott Weiland’s 12 bar blues. Who knew?

i think one is mocking the institution while another is mocking your personal beliefs. The institution deserves it, your personal beliefs do not, no more than someone who believes in ghosts or voodoo rituals. They all share a similar mystic origin but are meaningful to some so should not be mocked, merely attempted to be understood for what they are.

Doubling down is one strategy. You do you.
All of this instead of just being nice. Cool man.

Mocking "religion" (The man made actions and traditions of people of certain beliefs) is far different than mocking peoples deeply held faith.

I honor very few if any traditional religious traditions. Shockingly few to most people I would assume.

And there you go. THAT is the right answer in my opinion.

That however is nowhere near the situation that started this
