There's some weak ass stuff in here, all right. I dare you to say that you'd feel the exact same if the only difference in this story was that it had been Bill Nelson instead of Ben Sasse.
Missed my point of course. Libbies always run these institutions…you don’t like it when the shoes on the other foot.
He empties the bank accounts for his buddies and runs off allegedly due to a family health problem. If he's on an Epstein list somewhere he sounds like a perfect GOP presidential candidate.
Right after the news broke, a poster in the Den wrote in the thread that UF's BOT forced Sasse out because he gave his friends highly paid do-nothing jobs, was racking up huge travel costs at the university's expense without delivering on his promises, and failed to present any sort of vision or leadership. The post was deleted by the mods because it mentioned politics. You knew which student wrote it before finishing the article (let's ignore that his name is at the top of the page)? What has this student done in the past to provoke your ire lol?
Sadly, literally everyone with common sense knew this buffoon who mismanaged a day care in Nebraska was not qualified for this job. This fact was not lost on Hosseini and Patel either, but they obviously wanted their lackey. My hope is that the rest of the story does come out because Hosseini and Patel and probably even DeSantis were complicit in this and should not be allowed to be anywhere near the next president search.
Your point is never hard to grasp. It's always that libbies are to blame. Even when conservatives or Republicans do outlandish crap, it's a good reason in your mind to blame libbies.
The universities usually have libbies running rampant across the nation. Seems you’re not as clever as you think. This is a case where a conservative was able to use the controls of a liberal institution and you don’t like it. Shocking.
Red is thicker than Orange and Blue. Ben Sasse makes the last 3 football coach exits look smooth, organized, and fiscally responsible but, hey, MAGA all the way I guess.
UF admin and lots of faculty have been pretty spineless about this whole thing. Certainly DeSantis/Sasse are the bad guys, but there wasnt much resistance from the school either.
If the facts on his exorbitant spending are correct (both his own high salary, travel, placing his “pals” in cushy jobs, a guy working remotely from D.C. no less, as well as the consultant fees), explain how this is a “hit piece”? The spending numbers are what they are. Right? Are you saying the numbers provided are false? Maybe one can argue a “restructuring” often has consulting work and thus to compare to Fuchs tenure is not apples to apples. Nevertheless the work product for all those fees is not apparent, and I think that’s the problem (putting aside the fact that the motivation for all that was in itself politically motivated “war on woke” nonsense rather than a true effort at modernization/efficiency).
We have become freak8ng FSWho with the Pol appointees. Opposing thoughts Complete garbage on all the big money operative friends he hired. The way politics works…. and why we hate it. Not gonna miss him (unless da dos smells worse) UF probably has tons of ROJ folks, academic freedumb you know. I imagine the number of departments could be cut without anyone noticing. Fair and Balanced right here! Now, it is bourbon time. Scotch is acceptable
Love the Lagavulin. My usual favorite. Will visit the distillery in a couple days. I tried Octomore from the Bruidladdich Distillery earlier this evening - the smokiest I’ve ever had, and absolutely delicious. Don’t worry, Elijah will still be there. That’s one of the reasons we love him.
I'm not surprised by this at all. If the DeSantis' name is attached then it probably means that someone is getting paid a lot of money. There are so many stories regarding newspapers needing to file lawsuits because DeSantis is good at blocking how money is being spent. This is just another example of the DeSantis swamp. If the person is appointed by or is affiliated with DeSantis you should automatically assume that a lot of government money is going into the pockets of those people. Also isn't Q the #1 fan of Sasse?
