Ruining the game. Trying to turn it into the NFL. I watch college football because it's NOT the NFL. The closer it gets, the less I'm interested.

I don’t watch the nfl either but the clock isn’t the reason. But yes, making less football and more commercials is terrible.

Next they are going to speed up the game lock so 60 minutes can tick off in thirty except at halftime, then of course it slows down double to allow for a continuous 30 mins of commercials.

    I could live with that.
The running clock on OOB is a total bunch of garbage.

Those games are typically done by 7/730 tops.

Interesting number. I believe the actual of play minutes in a four-hour televised game is under 15 minutes. Lots of time for drinking, eating and a bonus nap and not miss much.

How is that the best part? No, my friend, the best part is that we get more opportunities for announcers to point out “inside” information that is obvious to even casual fans of the game, such as “Now third down is the money down. That’s where you get an opportunity to get the other team off the field” or “A turnover here could really change the momentum of the game.”

Three minutes of Mr. Redhat on the field for every timeout is ridiculous. That's six commercials. Everyone pays exorbitant cable or streaming rates, then gets the big-money paid commercials tacked on, too.

I’ve never been to a five hour game in my life. Commercials or what extended the game not football.

Best part about Florida games lately is commercial breaks. I can get a beer, text someone something optimistic about the game, tell my dog he's a good boy, or whatever else I want for 8 minutes. Unfortunately they end and I have to watch Florida lose to a team with half the staff budget, half the stadium capacity and half the talent.

Hate the new clock rules. Less football + more commercials.
    Also, makes comebacks less likely.

My favorite sport, College Football has become totally bastardized with clock rules and NIL and other stupid rules.

Pretty soon, College Football will be flag football. Please bring back the sport that I fell in love with in the 90s.

I was thinking about this rule change during todays game. Once we fell behind by 23 in the first half then again in the second half I felt like we had very little chance to come from behind based on Billy’s methodical, plodding offense coupled with the new rule. At one point we ran out of bounds a couple times and the clock kept rolling. At one point Jesse Palmer made the mistake of praising a UK player for tackling a UF runner in bounds and preventing the clock from stopping. It was late in the third quarter or early fourth. Come on Jesse you’re better than that!

Here's what the typical game goes....I wrote down most of the 1st quarter since there was nothing fun to watch with our team.

1- Kentucky punts, we field it
    2- 5 minutes of commercials
3- Run 3 plays and punt
    4- 5 minutes of commercials
5- This continues until a player gets hurt
    6- 5 minutes of commercials
7- Game resumes with no mention of the player's injury

The MO now is when there is any stoppage of play, they go to 5 minutes of commercials. The only time a game actual is faster this season is when the game isn't televised and there have been quite a few. UAB averages about 3 hours a game since they aren't on TV that much. Their longest game so far was playing Georgia, almost a 33% increase. So games are faster if they aren't televised.

So far, I don't like the new clock rule. Force-feeding the game reduces my enjoyment because I don't have time to think about alternatives & strategy, it is just on to the next play.

Exactly right….. doesn’t matter they are ruining the game, but give them more commercial time. Only money matters.
