So in one of the most petty yet funny things...women have started live tweeting details of their menstrual cycles since Abbott and so many politicians want to determine their health.

 

Not a darn thing. He did speak on false prophets, loving your neighbor, etc, but prolifers enjoy forgetting that.

Nevermind the part of life at first breath. Or the bitter waters. Or how God killed countless of babies/kids himself.

What's most important here is that belief isn't law. Beliefs are personal opinions, and no one has the right to push theirs onto others.

They don't care and want to carry on being hypocrites. They want to keep corrupting God's message of love as a weapon against women and children, or against anyone that isn't like them.

I heard a quote a number of times that I think holds quite true. At least for prochoice women.

If it were up to the ultra religious/Evangelicals, we'd be back to the days where if a woman could swim she was a witch. Or if she spoke her mind demons must've possessed her.

It's ludicrous. This isn't the period of the Crusades. This is America. Keep your church out of our bodies. You want God to run your life? Go for it - no one is stopping you. Lead by example...great. Stop MAKING others follow YOUR beliefs.

Wrong question. The correct question is: What has God revealed about abortion? Not everything revealed by God was directly spoken by Jesus, and Jesus often deferred to the Old Testament when answering questions about right and wrong.

 

For the most part, Catholicism has a correct view of the moral law of God. The major differences have to do with other things.

I think you are purposefully trying to interpret the Bible in the most absurd way possible because that gives you a pretext to live for yourself and not for God. You like child sacrifice as it was in the United States before Roe vs. Wade was struck down, and there is no lie or perversion of truth that would go too far in your justification of it.

The story you are speaking of is found in Genesis 38. What happens in Genesis 38 is called a Levirate marriage. Onan was struck down because he disobeyed his father's command to give his widowed daughter children. It was not a prescription that pre-conception birth control is wrong.

Marriage is more complicated than you are making it. Sexual immorality, abandonment, and death are all biblical grounds for a divorce. There are unbiblical divorces, and these do break God's commandments. And people should worry about God's justice in matters like these. And Christ is a perfect savior for anyone who has sinned in matters like these.

But, yeah, there are psychopathically controlling people here who want to control other people. Anyone who would demand and command that another human being should be sacrificed for their own convenience, wealth, prosperity, autonomy, or any other narcissistic reason...that is a person with a psychopathic control issue. Child sacrifice really represents the bottom of the barrel of wickedness. The love, adoration, and zeal for defending child sacrifice...wow. That is a scary, scary spiritual condition to find oneself in. To face God on the day judgment for sacrificing your own child, and to do that without forgiveness in Christ...I can't imagine.

 

Yeah, then you define pro-life by some kind of leftist-socialist wish list...seen that strategy before. The power of the perversion of words.

FWIW, you don't have to support leftist-socialist wish lists to be pro-life. On the contrary, life is better in countries where socialism and leftism are resisted. But people need to be willing to help when they can. It looks different for every person.

I was simply speaking of what the Bible says about it. She said if you remarry and your spouse is not dead, then you are an adulterer. That is not true. It is more complicated than that because abandonment and sexual immorality are biblical justifications for a divorce. If you are divorced on biblical grounds, then it is not a sin to remarry.

13 year old girl arrested in Lakeland (I think) during a rights protest. No statute given, the mom is behind her trying to reassure her. But from other places possibly the "megaphone" was the problem. Not that they're a problem when clinic protesters use them to shout all kinds of things at patients. Not at night, not a neighborhood. They just decided to grab her versus others.

A little test...BYU student prank called his mom telling her he got a stripper pregnant. She told him to have her get an abortion. Then he told her it was a prank and she hung up on him.
