Used to play the cassette on my boombox on PC beach throwing a disc around. Clears out the beach too.
A nice little story about the kind of lady the Queen was, with an American Twist. One of the Queen's Royal Protection Officers with an awesome anecdote:
The queen and her corgis: What happens to them now? (msn.com) What happens to Queen Elizabeth II’s corgis now? According to Newsweek, Queen Elizabeth II had two corgis and two cocker spaniels. While a plan for caring for the dogs has not yet been released following her death, Ingrid Seward, a royal biographer, speculated that the queen’s children will likely take care of the dogs. Penny Junor suggested that the care of the dogs would go to the queen’s staff, including the queen’s dressmaker and assistant, Angela Kelly, and her right-hand man Paul Whybrew.
Is it true that Charles will have to dress in drag because the official song of England is "God Save the Queen" and it takes the better part of a decade for Parliament to agree on anything and change it? Do they have royal dresses in his size?
I really don't remember any pictures of the Queen of England displaying her bare ass for the camera as the regal Kim did recently. Link? There are some royals with issues, of course, but that is true of any large family with nearly unlimited wealth and power. She was a ceremonial leader of a country, and she was a great one. When the people elect a boorish oaf like Boris, it's good to see someone with class and dignity uphold the proverbial standards and remind the rest of the world that England is a respectable country, a country that can be relied upon to do the right thing during times of crisis or difficulty. She didn't have anything to do with the establishment of any of the British colonies, and in fact was in power during the emancipation of at least one or two colonies (Malaysia and Singapore, I believe). The U.S. media obsession with the British royals is over the top, of course, but that is a direct result of children's tales and fantasies regarding kings and queens and princes and princesses. Some women in particular never outgrow the obsession. We have let Disney raise our children on these fairy tales. Disney teaches us that evil people are generally physically unattractive; therefore, ugly = evil, and beauty = good. We retain that through adulthood, and shun unattractive people, vote for political candidates at least partly based on physical appearance, etc.
