I had mad respect for him. He never quit on his team. He showed what a real fans passion looks like while never quitting on the players or the team. We would all do well to remember his example. I am glad for him that his earthly suffering is ended and wish peace for his family.
I corresponded with BVD when I first moved to TN. Wish I still had his reply, something like “welcome to the great state of TN. Congrats on your degree. Florida is a good school. We can be friends and not root for the same ball team”.
If there was ever an SEC Hall of Fame for fans, BigVolDaddy would no doubt be a first-ballot selection. Those shots inside his house with even the TN Vols drapery and the bedding; you can only marvel at such a fandom. RIP sir.
Classic! If y'all haven't already done so (like 4 times ), watch the end. Epic voldaddy . . . maybe his best stuff. There's nothing I can really say that hasn't been said already, but like y'all I have enjoyed voldaddy's videos and his authentic fanhood. He was a great one!
Lol. My wife is a Vol (yes, she has all her teeth and looks nothing like Lulu). I guess I don’t hate them quite like everyone else does. Anyway, if we can’t, then I say win one for the Gipper (or BVD in this case).
Really enjoyed watching BVD through the years. Admittedly enjoyed his pain losing to the Gators, but admired and respected his love for the Vols, a true fan. RIP BVD.
My favorite was a follow-up video he did that same week. I tried looking for it, but couldn't find it. He's basically sitting in front of his computer, catatonic, watching the TD pass over and over on repeat, without saying a word. For like 3 or 4 minutes.... dude was hilarious. RIP big guy, and GO VOLS! (never though I'd be saying that)
