What part of pastafarianism can you show is false? Their scripture says that heaven has a beer volcano and stripper factory, for example... Prove that wrong. It's impossible. Like I said it's just as verifiably true and correct as Christianity or any other religion. Probably even more so since the bible has a lot of factual errors.

Just because I can't prove it wrong doesn't mean I can't infer it's wrong based on the motives of the people who created it.

    Same here, but for Christianity.

That does nothing to differentiate Christianity from Pastafarianism or any other religion, because I can infer any religion is wrong based on my perception of the motives of the people who created it. I mean, as I recall reading somewhere, a lot of people at the time didn't believe Jesus was the son of God and things didn't end well for him. That seems like convincing evidence of a fraud to me.

You think Jesus or St. Peter had malicious or dishonest motives when they started the Catholic Church? o_O

Not to turn this into a holy war here, but I think it's clear some denominations of Christianity began on improper motives. For example, England seceded from the Catholic Church essentially because the Pope wouldn't grant an annulment for King Henry VIII. I don't think "not being allowed to leave your wife because she's no longer convenient" is a good reason for starting a new religion. :D

The creators of Pastafarianism don't believe it's real. You don't believe it's real. Though we cannot rule it out, any accuracy on the part of Pastafarianism would only be coincidental because it's just people talking out of their ass as a basis to mock religion.

That is in no way comparable to Christianity, Judaism, or Islam.

All I've said I think it's as verifiably true as any other religion, not that it is true. It doesn't really matter to me if it started as a goof because I think other religions were started for more sinister reasons, specifically, by people who wanted to control other people and enrich themselves ... which is exactly what religion has done throughout history and continues to do today, with ZERO evidence that anyone who was good and gave their mandatory 10% tithings regularly actually made it to heaven ... It's the world's greatest scam.

I think that Catholics claim Jesus founded the Catholic Church. The motive for Christianity, like many religions, is power, and I think that's a malicious motive.

Where did I ever claim Christianity was provable? I said the opposite in fact.

I was responding to another poster who said that Pastafarianism isn't the same as other religions.

Geez. I somehow read that as a quote of my post. Sorry about that.
