Just saw this during the Gator game last night. Scott starts off “If Ronald Reagan were here right now, he would say, ‘What in the hell have you guys done to my great country?’” Then he rattles off complaints about the national debt, crime being rampant and going unpunished, open borders ... not to mention the silly stuff like "we think men can have babies ..." and the real fear mongering of "we are losing our country ..." He really has to assume his audience is clueless about so much, particularly Reagan, who increased the debt, as a percent, more than any president who wasn't involved in a world war. Who granted amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. As far as crime, I could only find stats back to 1990, but there's far less crime than there was then. Rick Scott debuts $3M ad campaign telling Floridians they’re ‘losing our country’
He doesnt have to assume. By nearly every metric the US is better off in 2023 than it was in 1980s/90s but Americans are clueless. In before someone posts gas was $1.25 without mentioning average hourly working wage was $5.95.
Everything he said in that ad was a lie. A Medicare grifter that lives on the beach in Naples telling people to “cowboy up” was the height of absurdity
This comes immediately to mind: Rick Scott, Who Oversaw One of the Largest Medicaid Frauds in History, Wants to Be Senate GOP Leader One of The Largest Defrauders of Medicare in History Still Wants to Gut Medicare - Democrats Rick Scott's connection to massive Medicare fraud scandal resurfaces
