Mitch McConnell has been the most effective and consequential Senate leader the regressives have ever had it’s not even close. This is an example of when you let someone who has no idea what they’re talking about speak freely. Nonsense.

No, I rather detest him but there are degrees of detestation. Rick Scott is not an upgrade for much of anything save Medicare fraud - there is none better at that.

 

What exactly is the problem with McConnell? He’s almost single handedly responsible for the only actual wins (see judicial nominations) to come from Trump’s presidency.

 

On that he has been okay, but name something about his policies that you like... as a Republican.

 

He’s a mainline Republican, so most of them. That’s why I asked what you think the problem with him is - he’s been in the US Senate since 1985 and for essentially the entire time his actual policy views are in near lockstep with the GOP platform.

I’d be interested whether there is any actual policy problem (as opposed to just Donald Trump doesn’t like him) that you have with McConnell other than perhaps Ukraine aid.

Republicans like that about him I’m sure, though. I mean they have a cult surrounding a guy who literally grifts money from them on a regular basis, so they enjoy being stolen from. Florida sure knows how to pick its senators and governors, not surprisingly all Republicans, lol. You think we’d learn by now.

Let's give Rick Scott credit for his greatest accomplishment. Under his administration as the CEO of HCA, the company was assessed the largest fine ($1.7 billion) for healthcare fraud in history.
