I don't think it's too late, but he's not going to do that. He'd rather see Donald Trump re-elected than Joe Biden. I think that much is clear. To what level he supports Trump is another question, but philosophically, he's obviously closer to Trump. I'm not sure why people are up in arms over the national 12+ week ban. That's pretty close to the Western European cut off. That's why RFK Jr. is going to win so many disaffected Democrats and Independents. He's basically saying "I'll sign a bill to legalize abortion nationwide for up to 12 weeks." Not really a right-wing position. If he runs as third party, I could easily see him syphoning off 8 or 9 percent of the total vote count and most of those will come from disaffected would be Biden voters.

RFK, Jr. has always been described as a liberal, and maybe that's been as much about his environmental views as anything. There seem to be more and more issues where he sounds moderate or even a bit more aligned with the GOP, whether his positions have materially changed or not. That's presumably why so many Republicans claim they like him, but hard for me to know if they're just trolling or fantasizing about how he could help Trump.

It reminds me a little of Tulsi Gabbard, who gradually seemed more liked by the right than the left. If it's a strategy, it's an interesting one since the conventional strategy was for a candidate to try to secure the party's nomination before tacking to the center. I also don't see how RFK, Jr.'s appeal to the center right is going to wind up helping Trump if RFK, Jr. were to run as a third party candidate. Maybe they just hope if he runs third party, his last name will peel off just enough votes in the swing states that matter to help Trump.

In Europe age 0-14 deaths have increased 1101% and birth rates are collapsing all over the world.

    Probably Climate Change.

RFK Jr. is a late 1960s Democrat at the core, is what he is. His positions are pretty much spot on with where one would expect RFK Sr. himself to pontificate if he had a time machine to travel into 2023. I'm sure there are some minor details RFK Sr. would have evolved on with time and experience by now, but largely what you see with RFK Jr. is what you would have gotten with RFK Sr. The Democrat Party has strayed so far left of where they were, even 30 years ago. Republicans have always wanted to overturn Roe. The GOP has remained fairly steady, with some slight pockets of moderation with time, but the Democrats have gone off the deep end with the progressives calling the shots. Teddy Kennedy was able to pass more legislation in the Senate than any other senator, because he co-mingled well with the GOP and made friends across the aisle.

This is who the Kennedy's were. They were not shock and awe progressives looking to silence any dissent.

He is polling at about 14% nationally. Curious what the threshold is for them to feel like they have to invite him to the debates.

What you fail to note that there is no time limit in Europe when a woman's health is at risk unlike a number of states in the US in which abortions are illegal after the specified period unless the woman's life is in jeopardy.
Some European countries’ laws set the time limit for abortion on request or broad social grounds between 18-24 weeks of pregnancy, whereas many set the limit around the first trimester of pregnancy. However, all these countries’ laws also allow access later in pregnancy in specific circumstances, such as where a woman’s health or life is at risk. The standard practice across Europe is to not impose time limits on these grounds.

The threshold is 15% in at least one of multiple specified polls. So far he hasn't qualified. Just my opinion but this may be his high point. He will probably go down from here on out.

There is already one independent candidate in the race: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. While he has hit the 15% threshold in multiple polls, based on the Commission’s rules, none of them count. The Commission has a very short list of polling organizations that they consider. In 2020, they used polls from: ABC/Washington Post, CNN, Fox News, NBC/Wall Street Journal, and NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist. Even if a candidate received 15% support in another reputable organization’s poll, like Monmouth University or Quinnipiac University, it would not count.

The polls also have to be conducted in the direct lead up to the debates, which begin in September. For that reason, polls conducted in 2023 or early 2024 won’t count
    either.

So RFK is suing to try and get back on the New York ballot. So he's trying to get off the ballot in all swing states and on the ballot in Blue states. And our local MAGA posters want to lecture us about vote fraud, voter manipulation, voter suppression....

This is the GOP doing ballot manipulation and election interference in plain site, and nobody seems to care. MAGA, please tell me more about election cheating
