This is a really hateful post. I have no problem calling out misinformation. He has no obligation to be a dancing bear for Twitter billionaires. If they want to give hundreds of thousands to charity, they should just give it.

Ted Cruz debated Bernie Sanders after everyone else gave a hard pass. Cruz is not my favorite guy, but he was willing to debate Bernie on CNN (of all places), knowing Bernie would come up with some wild cuckoo statistics Cruz had never heard of before. You don't have to go down a rabbit hole in a debate. You present your case, you persuade your audience and you (gasssp) let them decide. Totalitarian regimes don't debate.

Ted Cruz was a skilled debater at Harvard. I think he was in the debate club.

Are you equally harsh toward complete idiots like Rogan and RFK and Bannon and all the other idiots who drone on endlessly with lies, ignorance and now encouraging violence? No, you aren't, because you are right there with them.

Meanwhile, below the positions and current projects for Dr. Hotez. What exactly could RFK actually debate him over besides some BS that RFK (and clearly you) make up from your arses and spout off as though it is some kind of actual fact? RFK does not understand the first thing about vaccines. On the other hand, we have a global expert who dedicates his life to treating and protecting the poorest pediatric populations on the globe. There is only 1 "sack of sh!t" in this story, and it certainly is not the guy who helped prevent the deaths of thousands, and is working non-stop to help prevent the illness and death of thousands to millions more.

It's an excuse at every turn. Someone. Anyone with credentials. Step up to the plate and debate the man.

Plus Bernie wasn't throwing out conspiracy theories and fringe or non-existent studies. There's no debating against crazy.

LOL look at how people get so mad when the truth is pointed out to them. Just accept it. You were lied to. It'll be okay. We've all been lied to before and we're still here. It will be fine. Just accept it. Make the necessary adjustments in your life and move on.

Lied to us in the beginning about mask effectiveness. Claims this was to preserve masks for healthcare workers, but still a direct lie nonetheless. Said the vaccines halted transmission. Said US government had not funded gain of function research in Wuhan. Went along with the "couldn't possibly be a lab leak narrative" until too much information began to spew out and then he did a Homer Simpson back into the bushes to hide, literally. I could go on and on. But you're too proud to admit you've been lied to by the government. Which, man. You have to be really cooked to believe everything the government tells you. I'm sorry, but everybody knows the government lies to some extent. I happen to believe to a lot extent, but to some extent, I think most people with a functional brain understand the government lies when it's convenient to. So to sit there and repeat "what lies?" as if the government would never lie to us about something like this, it's just woefully ignorant. Nothing personal. It's probably just your arrogance and not wanting to admit you've been lied to.

I've never stated we should censor Big Pharma in any way. Do you have a link where I did? I've actually come out against DeSantis decision to take out political retribution against Disney. He is free to speak his position on Disney, but I think using the law against them for that sole purpose was wrong and have said so here more than once. Again... where have I said corporations shouldn't be allowed to pander for profit or that people cannot speak woke positions? You talk about RFK making up all these lies. That's exactly what you are doing here, because these are positions I've never taken.

Are you conflating Fauci with Hotez?

This Hotez guy as far as I know doesn’t work for “the government”. He works as a researcher at a medical school in Houston. I’m assuming the rw is after him because he’s one of the more prominent talking heads.

In either case, science isn’t a “debate” that takes place on a stage. There is no value to anyone in his position sharing a stage with a clown like RFK.

Was poor and inconsistent communication, not necessarily lies.

They did, at one point. The virus later mutated and that changed.

So exactly who lied about lab leak theory. Among virologists they still think a lab leak is a pretty preposterous scenario, given the available information. No idea what the lie is.

It’s not “the government” lying. People lie. Yes, I know, people sometimes lie. People in government sometimes lie.

But if the facts on the ground change, or available information changes, someone changing their assessment is not a lie.

Also, you not understanding the science behind the issue does not make someone who does a liar.

If I have to choose between DeSantis and Biden, it would be DeSantis all day. I think I went down a long list of all the major issues back in 2016 and I agreed with Trump on around 70% of them. Hillary about 30%. So I voted for Trump. It's never a black and white choice for me. I voted for Clinton over Bush and Dole. I voted for the younger Bush over Gore and Kerry, but man, it was close. Especially with Kerry, as he was in strong opposition to the Iraqi War. I voted for Obama in 2008 due to his position on the war and the fact everything pointed to McCain being a war hawk, but voted Romney in 2012. I will tell you I would have voted for Hillary, Kerry or Gore before Biden. Biden is an empty suit. Really disappointed he is the best the Democrats have to offer.

I don’t really get this villification of Biden. He has governed quite competently. He’s been wrong on a couple of issues (stimulus too big, student debt forgiveness) but my biggest beef is he is just too damn old to run again and his VP is weak.

While I didn’t vote the same as you above about half the time, apart from Trump I would characterize your votes as reasonable.

    I was

He is also too old to check the wacko leftist fringe of the Democrat Party and in many ways he has stoked their flames. That has big ramifications. You might make that same argument about DeSantis, that he's too far right to check the extremists on right wing, but most of what DeSantis has done or wants to do is simply rolling back batshit crazy stuff the leftists have rolled out in the past 7 or 8 years or are in the processing of implementing now.

Just curious what batshit crazy stuff leftists rolled out in last 7-8 years that DeSantis is undoing.

I’ve never liked DeSantis, but prior to getting too far into Covid I thought maybe some of his rhetoric was gimmickry, but since that point he has gone batshit crazy. I would only support him over Trump and RFKJr because I view neither of those as qualified or mentally stable enough to be president.
