Please rank Trump's nominees in order of qualifications for their new gigs. I'd like to see @gatorbill 's rankings, as well.

What is funny about this thread is the current guy has very similar credentials and path to the position.

In fact, Kennedy is likely more prepared for the position than Xavier was when he took it.

Dems self-own all over the place.

Make no mistake, it still is. On this subject, the far-left and far-right agree. What is disturbing is the growing number of people who have become far-right. Even people that I thought were educated have swallowed the anti-vax BS that Kennedy and Musk are so proud to push on Twitter.

This is 100% true. Bacerra is a lawyer and concerned himself with legal aspects of healthcare policy. He failed as a leader at the start of the Pandemic and again with leadership during the 2022 Monkey Pox outbreak.

He was clearly a political appointee who was a Biden loyalist with no qualifications. The only difference I see is that Bacerra has not spent years spewing lies and mistruths about our healthcare system and the science behind it. Kennedy simply does not understand, either through failing intellect or more likely willful ignorance, the very science he oid now going to be charged with promoting, supporting and driving forward.

    Bacerra was a useful idiot.
Kennedy is a danger to the American public and makes no attempts to hide it.

Bacerra almost did not get approved by the Senate.
There is a good chance Kennedy will also struggle to be approved.

You go looking around the predominately liberal web and pluck one local article and claim a victory.
    Dude you’re not a troll.
    You’re a lame asshole.

The fake news ploy is overdone, lame and an excuse for not having a valid premise backed by facts. But at least the poster is consistent. LOL

Kennedy is actually qualified for a cabinet level position, it's Administrator of the EPA and it's the last position to which Trump appoint Kennedy considering that Kennedy was an environmental lawyer and under Trump's vision of America when it was great virtually every environmental regulation promulgated during the last 50 years would be rescinded with industrial polluters no longer restrained by the deep state.

I don’t believe he is qualified for anything BECAUSE he has done so many insane things. I don’t think there is a single person that can watch the guy talk at this point and not breakdown and laugh. Worms eating his brain, sawing off whale heads, hiding bear carcasses, calling Trump the enemy and then a few months later agreeing to be his bestie, his own family calling him a wackadooo, and so much more.

He might be the most brilliant man on planet Earth, but I can’t take a single word he says seriously.

Kennedy has some good points, IMO. For example, we allow food additives here which are banned throughout Europe. A package of Doritos, for example, has a completely different ingredient list. Why?

There are states that have morbid obesity. That’s as much of a national problem as Covid, if it even more severe in terms of deaths. Why not jump in and make a change? (Yea, that’s way more government than traditional Republicans want, but RFK is a Big Government democrat in very sense of the word.)

I think his thoughts on the current FDA’s preclusion of medical treatment, including limitations of stem cell treatments, is crazy and benefits only pharmaceutical companies.

He has some good thoughts. He’s just not the right person to deliver the message. Because he is otherwise batshit crazy.

Go look at Kenndy's resume and then Xavier's, and tell me Xavier was somehow a better pick for the same position.

You started this thread saying this was a terrible pick. If so, you should acknowledge Biden also made a terrible pick.

Absolutely agree on the issue of obesity in the U.S. and this should be his priority. We are one of the most overweight countries in the world, and this is a leading factor behind many health issues, imposing costs on individuals, the government, and even our military readiness. Addressing obesity should be a priority. However, the solutions are complex, far-reaching, and require a long-term approach. Unlike quick, soundbite topics like anti-vaccine rhetoric. Attacking obesity involves changes that take time to implement and show results.

Which of these facts about RFK's resume most impresses you:

His failing the bar in New York
    His conviction for heroin possession
His forcing the closure of a nuclear power plant, increasing emissions from power generation in New York
    His anti-vaccine books
His staging of a dead bear in Central Park

At last check, RFK Jr. was inconsistent in his opposition to vaccines, I.e., some good, some bad.

There is literally nothing to vaccinate for.

Also, Americas aren’t dying from being fat.
