RFK will easily pull more votes than Jill Stein, but I don’t think it will matter. Biden is a sinking ship.

He’s not on a party ticket anymore either. Without money it’s tough to be an independent and even get on a ballot.

This is how his own siblings feel about RFK, Jr's presidential bid.

Ask the supporters of Hillary Clinton and Al Gore how they feel about the subject or for that matter Republicans who voted for George H.W. Bush in 1992 (noting that despite the narrative that Ross Perot was responsible for Bill Clinton's victory post-election analysis indicated that Perot's candidacy actually didn't make any difference in the end).

Dangerous because your candidate might lose. Gotcha.

I actually think RFK would pull more voters from Trump, but a strong third party is exactly what our political structure needs - to appeal to those who have no political home with either party.

A crank running as an independent isn't a strong third party, its not even a third party

Thanks to our archaic system of electing the president through the Electoral College a vote for a third-party candidate in a presidential election is a wasted vote unless one is so dissatisfied with the major party candidates that he/she wishes to cast a substantively meaningless protest vote. Although it will probably not happen in my lifetime what we need is a constitutional amendment replacing the current system with a direct election of the president through the popular vote followed by a runoff if no candidate receives a majority.

I am sort of in that boat but won't be voting for RFK either. Looks like I will just ignore the Presidential part when I vote in 24.

Correct. Fox & Friends touted that he was going to be on their show (either yesterday or today). He's only been on Fox to date.

He was on Fox and Friends today and will speak at CPAC next week.

“Robert F Kennedy Jr has a unique voice in advocating for the defunding of the weaponised bureaucracy and ensuring the constitutional right of medical freedom,” said the CPAC chair, Matt Schlapp.

Robert F Kennedy Jr announced as speaker at hard-right CPAC event

Yet people think he won't take more votes from Trump than from Biden?

I didn't say he was a strong third party candidate. But he could cause people to take a serious look at a third party. /hopeful

Independent isn't a third party, its just a guy running for president without a party

Well isn't that the point, someone not constrained by either party does actually become a third party? Or how about this, drop the use of the word party. How about a third choice.

A party should represent certain positions represented by candidates chosen by members not be built around the personality of an individual seeking power

He was just on Hannity and the kid gloves came off now that he's no longer running as a Dem and is considered a potential threat to Trump.
