He is making a case…. Certainly at the guard position.
To quote Kevin Harlan…. Did we just see what we think we just saw!?! WOW!

He has been the catalyst for our “spurt-ability” in games this year. He just waited until the last 3 minutes to spurt.

He played such a weird game. The quietest 30 pt game I've ever seen.

Exactly. Aberdeen ran point more than he ever has. Clayton made his FTs, his end of game 3s, and a few layups. It was just a weird offensive game all around. I'll take the W

I think the plan late in the game was let Aberdeen run the point so Clayton didn’t have to push the tempo and could focus on his shooting. Strategy worked to perfection

Walter gets better when things are on the line.
Purest three point shooter I have seen in Gator uniform going back about sixty years..
My vote is he is the best shooter at guard ever at Florida.

Does anyone have a sense for what Coach Golden was thinking in giving Aberdeen the point position for so much of the game? Was it to preserve Clayton's energy so he could spurt in crunchtime? Something else. I'd love to hear what Eric and other knowledgeable strategists and analytics gurus think led Todd Golden to that coaching decision? And, BTW, has the Coach of the Year already been decided in the SEC, across the NCAA/. Golden has to be a prime candidate and do you think we've seen not just the team but the coach grow up in the last month or two?

In watching highlights he took a dribble out, step back earlier in the game that didn't go. He just turned on the after-burners in those final minutes

Might be for his defense, or ability to get into the lane. But our whole team was having issues finishing at the rim tonight.

TT was firing and blowing up our ball screens. I think we wanted to work Clayton free off the ball.
