Nobody is saying juries are inerrant. They make mistakes- sometimes horrible mistakes but it is our system- juries are the finder of fact. You don’t like their verdict but trump had the best lawyers his promise to pay could buy. If you think former Presidents are above the law - they are not. They are not royalty or holy men. They can be held accountable. Their are many Dems that get prosecuted - Blagovich, Gov of Ill, Menendez, current Senator of NJ, Biden by a R-chaired committee of Congress, Cory Bush, current congressman, Hunter Biden -POTUS son, Hillary Clinton 9 times by R-chaired committee of Congress and that’s off the top of my head.

Well, trump’s lawyers sat Juror #2 who stated her primary sources of news were Fox News and Truth Social and yet she voted guilty 34 times. Jurors, for the most part, take the job seriously. Easy thing to do in this case against the former President who had members of Congress in the courtroom and on social media and red-in-the-face red hat wearing supporters in the street would have been to say the heck with this - I am out of here - and vote Not Guilty. But they didn’t take the easy way out.
if you break it down 1. He clearly had sex with Stormy Daniels and Trump is the only one denying it, which makes it quite obvious he is a liar 2. He clearly paid hush money to her - there is overwhelming evidence of that. 3. Business records were clearly falsified. 4. The payment was obviously made to help his campaign given the timing. So if you oppose the charges it objectively can’t be because he didn’t do these things, and it can’t be that they are illegal, because they are, but your position would have to be that in spite of all of the above he shouldn’t be charged because it was somewhat of a novel legal theory, and/or because it’s Donald Trump, he shouldn’t be charged. There is this feeling that because it’s Trump, he is just above the law, because he was president, or he is a colorful figure, or somewhere somebody did something kind of similar and got away with it.
Helps him politically, but obviously not personally. Nobody wants dozens of felony convictions on their resume.
This is mostly an all or nothing proposition. Most juries would probably either find not guilty on all counts or guilty on all counts.
And the 12 people who did sit on the jury through weeks of evidence all said guilty 34 times. And the Judge agreed. Might get overturned in appeal, but unlikely. Until that time, Trump is guilty and a convicted felon.
Again poster does not seem to comprehend that the jury heard the debate and evidence on this issue and all the others and every one of them concluded it was a campaign contribution and it was a crime. Kind of the actual purpose of having the trial.
