judges will make them whole. the funds have been budgeted by congress. trump can't use freedom of speech to justify not spending the funds. i'm not a lawyer but other than leverage to delay, trump has no case to demand what he has demanded from news organizations, universities, US employers, states, etc, just like every other legal tangle he gets into. his whole goal is to string it out and make it too painful to endure while grifting along the way. he has built a career out of it.

Why not? Should the U.S. not be investing in intellectual pursuits? Development?
    What does this mean?

So, you're saying those on the far left shouldn't have free speech protections? That's the question. Not where on the political spectrum the schools are. But should they have free speech protections?

I’ll attempt to translate; it would be wise for the Universities to engage in moral and intellectual corruption now, in the hopes of being on the receiving end of political corruption down the road.

    Brilliant.

It means that the universities should be protecting the civil rights of all of their students. Denying Jewish students the ability to go to classes that they paid for is not free speech.

If those students protesting Israel had showed up in KKK robes and denied black students access to class it would be a national disaster (as it should be).

that is not what the WH is demanding and you know it.they want effective control of curriculum choices to begin with, disguises as "reducing the power of faculty and administrators"...I guess you prefer the politicians decidign the curriculum like your dear leader..wow, just wow

this has nothing to do with antisemitism. they cloak these constitutional overreaches under some far reach like the ms13 bs and fentanyl as a reason grant wide tariff making authorities..it's all authoritarian overreach out to get some exponentially inflated boogeyman.

how you can't, or refuse to, see thru it is baffling

Among the mandates in the administration’s letter are the elimination of Harvard’s diversity, equity and inclusion programs, banning masks at campus protests, merit-based hiring and admissions reforms and reducing the power held by faculty and administrators “more committed to activism than scholarship.”

if you were unaware of this, accept my apologies. this isn't about anti-semitism

    doge wasn't about cost cutting

    tariffs aren't about fentanyl

habeas corpus violations aren't about MS 13

You're just reciting some media bias talking point. It's anecdotal at best and has little or nothing to do with the financial attacks on education in the U.S.

Can you point to the specific event at Harvard that you are discussing? After doing so, would you please tell me why that means that every single department in the school must undergo a "viewpoint diversity" external audit and force them to hire people if they are viewed as not being "viewpoint diverse?" For some reason, that is not DEI.

You don’t have a clue as to what you’re talking about. You just blindly follow the pied piper.

Every university needs to stand with Harvard against the childish positions taken by Premier Krasnov

Great post. Sadly though, what we well know and see over and over .... is that MAGA really doesn't care about fascism, as long as it's their fascist in charge.

(And it's just a pathetic side note that their fascist is an adulterous, criminal, reality TV host traitor.)

Thanks for pointing out with your nonsense post that the degrading of our universities is happening because of students in opposition to the actions a foreign government! There are Young Republicans on every campus , so I think universities are pretty comfortable with fascists and racists on campus, as long as they are the right kind. I guess they dont wear bedsheets. They dont have to now though.
