Name me one person who wanted to vote but was denied the right to vote in Florida. No dead people allowed.

    You didn't either. :D

You came out and said Democrats do it too.

The most recent elections would indicate otherwise. They certainly seem to have disproportionate power, but I think the absolute shitshow of a state Democratic party organization has more to do with how red Florida has become.

EDIT: My post had already been rated, but I feel the need to clarify my comment that Republicans seem to have disproportionate power in Florida *because of gerrymandering.* Tagging @Gator715 in case he wants to change his rating.

And you don't think gerrymandering is a factor when statewide elections are very close while one party wins a disproportionate share of the seats in the same states' legislature and congressional delegation?

It's a factor, and it's an ugly factor, but I don't see how you eliminate it, and I think its significance is overstated.

The question is who you trust as the gatekeepers for drawing the lines. This is politics, it's always going to be shady, unfortunately.

Again, the gop has taken it to new levels and as a consequence have way more power than they should have considering they are a minority party that continues to shrink. All or nothing thinking is not effective.

Ah, so you agree last years 19-15 FAU team is nothing like this years 35-3 team. Teams aren’t a “blank slate” but thinking FAU would be average this year was 100% wrong.

A big difference is that Republicans are much more likely to get away with it the Democrats. When the Dems tried to go overboard with gerrymandering in NY and Maryland they were slapped down by the courts with special masters drawing the district lines. Not so in Florida or NC. While the Republicans still would have ended up with majorities in both states even with properly drawn congressional and legislative districts the numbers would have been far less disproportionate.

Seriously? The illegal purging of Florida voters, mostly black goes back to the JEB! days. It hasn’t changed. Republicans have to suppress voting in order to win by their own admission.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott's 2012 voter purge violated federal law, court rules

Former Florida GOP leaders say voter suppression was reason they pushed new election law

Records show Florida GOP efforts to use election law for partisan edge

Florida Republicans targeted Black voters, justice department says in filing

    Give me one name.

If it's an epidemic, surely you can give me one name right?

    1. IRS expansion - needed as the agency is poorly staffed.
    2. Weaponizing DOJ. You could only be referring to Barr going after Trump's enemies.
    3. You mean actual history that treats aristocratic whites in a bad light. GOP orthodoxy and reality shall never meet.
    4. Chick Fil A - Yeah, that's an important issue said no one with a 3-digit IQ ever.
    5. Good for Newsome--Now he'd make a fine future president.

Can't believe you're arguing this stuff. Again, you said, "That’s like saying last years Gators team has anything to do with this years team. Means zero.". That's just really really dumb. But carry on.

I’ll give you two, Murat Limage, a Haitian-American, and Pamela Gomez, who is a Dominican-American.

"Apples and Oranges" as right wingers have zero mental capacity to compare situation A and B and note differences. Also, your terminology is indicative of someone brainwashed by right wing media.

Nope, not dumb. Just like thinking this years FAU team would be like last years team. 19-15 to 35-3. If you think they are similar then that's really dumb. But carry on...
