I'm not a fan of trump, but when comparing 2 different admins, 1 had significantly more border crossings than the other. Maybe math isn't your strong suit...

Sure, I'd be fine with Obama. Now lets deal in reality. Harris has the distinction of being the farthest left(by voting record) and trump is a nut job. Those in the middle see zero good choices. This will most likely my 3rd straight election either voting 3rd party or skipping that part of the ballot. I will wait to see who Harris picks as VP before making final decision and see how she does in the debates.

 

Couple his in action with him actively working against a border solution when out of office and the full picture is of a blowhard. Shocking, I know.

I don’t think it’s gaslighting - the actual meeting minutes make the clear focus on the root causes immigration as it relates to those countries.

 

Obama turned the economy around after
Bush's Great Recession. Trump rode Obama's coattails. Even so, the economy performed better in Obama's last three years than in Trump's first three years.

Looks to me a clear trend was started under Trump that was only impacted by Covid.

 

Maybe conditions were worse in Latin America or there were more jobs post covid, so more migrants crossed the unsecured border under Biden than crossed the unsecured border under Trump.

It's not like there was a horde of millions waiting there, deathly afraid to enter under Trump. It's a largely demand-based issue.

Statistics prove that the economy was turned around under Obama, not Trump. The positive trends continued under Trump until the pandemic. In other words, Trump didn't screw up the Obama economy.

(The annual deficit is another matter. Trump's tax cuts for the super-rich raised the annual deficit considerably.)

Why didn't Putin invade Ukraine during Trump's term? Because Putin knew that, if Trump won re-election, he would hand over Ukraine without a fight.

 

I mean the border crossings. 2018 was higher than 2017. 2019 accelerated and was even higher than 2018. Then Covid hit which put the world on pause. The trajectory on immigration was clearly up and accelerating.
