JWill’s comments on the “Welcome to UF!” video by ex-Gators to our new hoops coach today cracked me up.

 

Sounds positive

 

Maybe Golden hires Boyle as a assistant coach.
Can't hurt recruiting and he seems to be a good coach. Any chance of that?

 

That video was great.

 

Any chance we get him back? I think he would flourish at UF.

 

The one good thing about all this is it seems like Golden is the kind of guy that steps up to the challenge. I like that he has this big hill to climb at the start, he'll be more bought in and committed. I think Golden has a killer instinct in him that White didn't have. Of course I base this on limited videos and articles etc but he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who will back down from a challenge (hasn't seemed to in the past) and that it might bring out the best in him and for our program. He knows this job is an incredible opportunity for him and he seems hungry as hell. And sharp too. I have a feeling he'll pull some rabbits out of hats before this is all over.

 

The very thought made me just throw up in my mouth a little.

Seeing Mike White in the red and black at his press conference definitely sped up the post-breakup healing process for me. He was our guy, but now he’s not. I don’t hate him or even dislike him, but he’s just another coach to me now. We finna ride with Coach Golden 100%… no question… no exception… no qualifiers. Any player, recruit, or coach who wants to leave, please go where it makes you happy. Only want people committed to UF here. Coach Golden said something similar in his presser.

 

Billy went to the NBA, not another college program - and certainly not to an SEC program. Billy is a legend and I'll always root for him. Quite different.
