I think Napier has loyalty to Mertz, hey I like the young man too, he has shown great leadership, and gained the respect of the staff and players, but sometimes you have to look at reality. DJL has mobility that Mertz does not have, he is also built like a tank. The read option can't but help the running attack. Kid shows he has "not only a cannon, but an accurate cannon" of an arm. Sure it was against Samford, but considering the endless comments (deserved) about the offensive line, UF needs a QB that can create space and avoid the rush. DJL just proved that he has some timing with the recievers on deep routes. My take, Graham starts, and Napier gives him two, maybe 3 series to produce, if that dosent work, he is a FOOL not to put DJL in. His job is on the line. DJL earned the right to play and play early, before the game turns ugly or starts to get out of hand. Napier is on thin ice and I mean thin. Being stubborn and stupid like Mullen was with AR will be the last straw. He needs to play every card he has.
