Looking at the boxscore, he only logged 18 minutes, seventh highest among the nine guys that played against Ole Miss. While he didn't score from the field, he was a perfect 5-5 from the foul line and was neither in foul trouble nor a turnover machine. I think both of his two fouls were in the first half. Considering how poorly we played in the second half, Reeves didn't play all that much and he needs repetitions more than the upper classmen Might he be suffering from what is ailing Felder, who only logged 11 minutes in Saturday's win against Vandy? I didn’t see this game on tv but followed NBN thread. Who knows what goes through CMW’s Head? Hopefully he will play Kowacie more because I think, this team of transplants, are in a tough season with no time to heal and get better. Play the freshmen so they can get the reps and help next year.
That’s what White should have been doing the first 13 games of the season. Instead, Reeves is just now going the learning experience that he should have been going through earlier.
tampajack, I am in total agreement. We need a recruiting group just for basketball and A NIL group to raise the bar in recruiting. When is the last time we have heard anything, anything, on basketball recruiting. go on espn and talk basketball in D1, others are already starting talking about recruits and transfer prospects, I am sure having people finding out interest from the prospects.
Totally agree. I picked Reeves as my MVG for the OleMiss game. When he came out and hit 5 FTs in the first few minutes of the game, I thought for sure he'd have a great game. But after that, he just kinda disappeared and didn't score anymore points.
In addition to Gator Country, I subscribe to ESPN+ and The Athletic. I also look at recruiting for free on Verbal Commits and 247 Sports, plus I search for games and highlights on cable TV and YouTube. I am not suggesting other people do this as there clearly is something wrong with me. However, all of the above results in me getting a lot of information about college basketball recruits and college basketball in general.
