That would require a good OC... something (someone) that is in short supply in Gainesville right now.
Recruiting is the second most important thing for any program. Getting right coach is #1 for a program you need both to succeed
Priority of need, get the coach, recruiting then follows. Until that happens we can complain all we want, but no one worth a damn is coming, the good ones were saying "wait and see" all summer. Guess what, they waited and they saw, and they are running the hell in the other direction as fast as a UGA player in that lambo after guzzling a 12ver of Schltz tall boys.
All true, and, the two are pretty much inter-related. The right coach would be capable of recruiting well. Then he has to do it.
This. And the coaches we appear to be looking at aren't coming until end of the season anyway. We can be talking in the meantime. Running Napier off right away means we promote one of his assistants to interim, and I don't see how that helps us.
If we don’t have somebody on the staff that can do better than this, we just have a bad staff all way around
We are in a bind either way. If we could only, at the right time this season, announce a great hire, maybe some of the players stay. The new coach needs to meet with the team and key players asap, something I believe Napier neglected. No kidding. Feel more for the players, the HC wrote a check with his mouth that his coaching cannot cash.
