We do not know the answer, right? How good are his assistants? To me CBN seems laid back so I don't know. We will see, right?
On June 15 the Gators offered players on his own back yard Gavin Hill and Kendall Jackson. 4* DL Derrick Leblanc has change his commitment date again and now its back to July, the CB says that its going to be the Gators the pick. It looks like the Gators are in good shape with Westside )Fla) DT Jordan Hall. The 6-4 300 the #133 player on the 2023 class and #27 in Florida.
Tony Mitchell Sr, the father of 5*CB Tyler Mitchell recently said that that UF has to be more on board with the business aspect for top recruits. The Gators made the top 3 cut for CB Sharif Denson. Another 4* DB who has the Gators on his final 3 is West Orange's Jordan Castell.
This isn't about recruiting, but there is alot talk that Gator's RB Demarkcus Bowman has entered the transfer portal.
Swamp 24 Its projecting that 5* CB Cormani McClain (Lakeland), DL Derrick LeBlanc (Osceola Kissimmee), WR Aidan Mizell (Orlando Boone), DT Will Norman (IMG Academy) and WR Eugene Wilson (Tampa Gaither) will be going to UF.
I'm going to wait until signing day until I feel one way or another. Here's what I know. 1. One of the biggest reasons we hired Billy Napier was to fix our recruiting issues. 2. Based on the track records of coaches like Saban, Smart, Meyer, etc. the first full cycle is more than enough time to make a splash on the recruiting trail. We should have a good idea of how good at recruiting Napier will be by the end of this cycle. 3. I was one of the last guys to jump off the Mullen train. I eventually accepted that 2021 Mullen was just not the same as 2018-2020 Mullen, and he just seemed to "check out," so we had to move on. I don't think Napier is nearly as good of an offensive mind or an offensive fit for Florida as Mullen was, but I don't think he needs to be. Napier can win championships if he hires a good staff, recruits well, and runs a stable program that builds upon itself. I'm just worried because this is the time to make a splash, if you wait too long to recruit at an elite level, you just probably won't be able to. I don't know what happened to Mullen, I just wish we had the same guy we had from 2018-2020... and that he fired Grantham after 1-2 years, and he played the best guys in the best situations as opposed to the veteran guys, just because they've been here a while. The fact that Mullen got away with all of that for 3 years is crazy to me, but it speaks to how good of an offensive mind he is.
