He came with his entire family several weeks ago. His dad was blown away by the staff. I'm surprised we didn't hear anything more after that.
According to 247 Sports the Gators have gotten some late buzz for Arch Manning. One more note the Gators have made the top 11 cut for Alabama's 5* DL teammates James Smith and Qua Russaw, however the Gators aren't believed to the favorite for neither one of them.
Elite LB/Edge rusher Malik Bryant told AllGators "I enjoy UF, They made me definitely feel at home" "You can feel the team all kind of on one page, one accord" "Long-term vision I give him (Napier) about five to six years, he'll definitely have one or two national championship under his belt, just with the way he's carrying the program and the way they're going"
4* RB Cedric Baxter will sign in the early signing period, at this time he claims that he doesn't have a leader, but claims that he really likes UF RB coach.
That's exciting to hear from him but I'd be more encouraged if he said "I give him about two to three years, he'll definitely have at least one national championship." Or maybe he's looking forward to being a Gator alum watching them win national championships.
Even better if he's an early enrollee. I was so hoping Etienne would be practicing with the team throughout the spring.
Gators made the top 7 cut for 5* QB Jaden Rashada. The 6-4 185 is ranked #29 for the 2023 class from Pittsburgh /California is planning a official visit to UF this Summer, but a official date has not been set. Also the Gators made the top 8 cut for 4* WR Daquayvious Sorey. The former Georgia commit and a 3 sport athlete at Chipley is the #17 WR and # 108 player of the 2023 class.
The DE/Edge rushers on the Gators 2023 recruiting board: Malik Bryant(Orlando) Derrick LeBlanc (Osceola/FLA) Keon Keeley (Berkley Prep/FLA) Tamarrion Parker (Alabama) Anthony James (Texas) Zavion Hardy (Georgia) kelvy Collins (Alabama) Keldric Faulk (Alabama) AJ Hoffler (Georgia) TJ Searcy (Georgia) Rico Walker (NC) Damon Wilson (Venice/FLa)
This seems like it changes everything for the next couple of years. You can already move anywhere you want with no sitting out. Now, there are no limits on annual initial counters or total class size for this year and next? Am I reading this wrong? Aren't these limits the things that were designed to keep Alabama-like monopolies somewhat in check?
I’m watching this kid in a jamboree spring game and he is torching the defense. Christian Mathis 4 TD catches, so far
Looks kind of short in those clips, 5'10" according to 247. He's an exciting player none-the-less. He'll have a great career somewhere.
The roster I looked at for last year's team, indicated he was just 5 foot 6 inches tall.......I stopped digging for information on hin at that point.
