It looks like the SEC network is going to replay the the Spring game on Friday morning, but don't know the specific time
The Gators has landed Mississippi Gulf Coast JC DT Keenan Landry as a PWO. The 6-2 335 DT who is originally from Louisiana had offers from FIU, Jacksonville St and McNeese St among others.
IMG's Knijeah Harris will be announcing his college choice on May 7th at CBS Sports HQ. The finalists are UF, Alabama, UM, Michigan ST, Oklahoma and Teas A&M
People seem to be getting on @cubangator for this and I really don't think this take is unfair. College football has been trending in the direction of airing the ball out all over the yard with athletic enough QBs who can keep defenses guessing in the running game. I wouldn't go as far as to say Napier's offense is old school, because it isn't. But it's not the "air it out" approach we see from teams under Riley, Dabo, and Saban recently. I think if Napier wins big with the Gators, it's with great situational football, a good QB, and a great defense with a reliable kicker and punter. Maybe I'm wrong. Mullen, who is a big spread option guy and loves running the ball with QBs, did change his offense to tailor Kyle Trask in 2020. But that's one year. I think Napier has made it clear he wants to run the ball first, both from his time in Louisiana, and from comments he's made to the media.
We haven’t seen Napier with a succession of 5* qb’s at his disposal. His offense may look a bit different with a heisman candidate running it.
Qb friendly isn't necessarily the same as "air it out". In fact sometimes those offenses are quite complex and difficult for a qb. Actually had this debate regarding SOS and his offense. It was great for some QBs, others struggled mightily. I'm honestly not sure if Napier is or is not qb friendly, based on how AR looked Thursday I would say it looks potentially positive
To say CBNs offense is not QB friendly based on a low three star quarterback that was inaccurate at best is a bit of a reach IMO.
"not QB friendly" is jumping the shark by fans who don't know sh*** from shinola. BN wants to have a strong running game. That is what we know. That is long way from "not QB friendly." No one knows how BN is going to design, then tweak the UF offense. If he does not tweak it to the strengths of the QB, then we are overestimating him as a coach.
Right, And yet even with Levi, someone posted his career stats behind center, he would rank something like top 5 all time among UF QB's. So to your point you made, imagine a highly skilled QB operating the same system using a strong running game.
Just saw Billy outside the Swamp. Said going to get on a plane. Looked tired. I think he’s the man prob going 17-18 hours a day.
Great prospect, #4 ILB on Rivals. Didn't make the connection right away. Just looked at his junior year highlights. Great in coverage, vicious hitter and sound tackler. Seems to have the kind of instincts and fundamentals you expect in a coach's son but looks very athletic. 6'2" 207 is probably ideal for a 16-17 year-old LB prospect. Guessing that the NIL deal won't be terribly important in his recruitment.
