Not that easy for me. If we don't sign him then are we to believe it was just A&M with more money? Huge loss. If it comes to pass we sign neither I would just like to know why. Is recruiting all about money now? It can't be... but I guess it can.
Not sure. I don't know and neither does anyone else outside the program. Perhaos one day we will. Losing an opportunity at both is huge to me as well.
a month ago it looked like we were getting Baxter and Webb as of today we get neither. who is next on our board?
Need some big commits on offense. Maybe that won't happen without a QB commit. I guess it could be much worse. Our trajectory is much better. LSU and some other significant institutions are behind us at the moment, including scUM with their QB factored in. 2023 Team Rankings
You can’t say no to the type of money some of these kids are rumored to being offered. All the other aspects are very important also but the checks have to be in the ballpark.
I really wanted Rashada. He wasn't the best option, but the best available option. We will take a decent filler im sure but next cycle we must hit it out of the park at QB.
Yeah....Baxter is getting stupid money from Texas. We just don't have the luxury of blowing that much on a rb
Max may be that guy or Miller or Kitna for that matter. Next year we do need to get a guy in our pipeline though. Doesn’t have to necessarily be a 5* break the bank guy but he needs to be good.
With our offensive style RB should be the position we blow our money. Though the nfl does the opposite.
Justice Haynes. But he’s an UGA legacy, so it ain’t happening. After him, I guess it’s Chris Johnson.
NFL does it for the reason we should....RB are more readily available and hard to predict success. We can pick up a quality 4 star like the Johnson kid in So Fl much cheaper than Baxter
well we better pick up our contact w/Chris Johnson imo. I like him as a prospect and I like Sam Singleton too
I am surprised we have not heard more about Singleton. Does the staff talk to him? Has visited or been offered? Where is he leaning?
Yup. Look how Tre Sanders and Bowman have turned out so far. I imagine they would have commanded a huge amount if they were part of this year's class. Both of those guys were seen as make or break players when we were recruiting them.
And then there's Montrell Johnson, the number 60 RB and 909 player overall, who will likely be as productive (if not more so) for us in 2022 as number 2 RB and 25 overall Lorenzo Lingard. RB rankings are a nice boost for the class, but as far as chasing stars goes it's the least concerning position on the field for me.
Not really worried about RB to be honest. Kinda suspect it ends up being Webb, despite all the drama. Also suspect we may get a 2nd RB thats a sleeper who will probably be the most productive
