I mean, Arch going there is obviously going to make Texas more attractive to skill players. But yeah, Texas is leading the charge in the NIL game. Their boosters will do anything to get them back to prominence.
Oh, my bad. But yeah, it's almost certainly because of NIL. Most/all recruits have spoken highly of Napier and the staff after they've visited but either are trending elsewhere or have committed somewhere else. Reading between the lines and it just has to be lack of desire to pay recruits or lack of available funds to pay them.
True, but this is a pretty simplistic take. Do you pay these recruits more than the current players? Who knows what is really happening?
Agreed. Who knows? But are we also to believe schools offering the best NIL deals are not also taking care of their current rosters? Sadly, I could see some staffs thinking that players on roster don't count as much as the guys they have to compete for now.
I indicated from the very beginning that Bowman did not possess the size to be a SEC caliber RB, but felt moving him to the slot seemed a viable position change for him (Many of you disagreed with me). In fact he reminded me a awful lot of a former Florida high school Mr Football Shevin Wiggins, Wiggins rushed for over 2000 yards and 1700 yards his junior and senior years at Manatee high and went to Nebraska to play football. Spent his colligate career however at the WR position.
When Bowman was THE big name during his recruiting class year I was always more of a fan of the late bloomer Gibbs. I'm no scout but I got the same feeling despite Bowmans highlight reels that everyone was enamored with. I'm bummed Gibbs is now at Bama as I'd rather a talent like that be at a non threat program like GaTech. With that said I had hoped Bowman found his niche in the slot or as a 3rd down back as a Gator.
Maybe Demarkus wanted to be the only Bowman on the roster, and, Thai Chiaokhiao-Bowman messed that up for him.
Once i knew Bow wasn’t flippin to UF out of HS when he committed to Clemson, I remember before the 2019 season folks on Twitter put me up on Gibbs and my attention shifted to him. He was never going anywhere else outta HS but GT since his family wanted him close to home. His talent was evident and it took scouting sites awhile to catch up but they eventually did and rated him accordingly
Just another day on Twitter. One day they are buying your Orange and Blue gear and the next they are upset when it looks like you aren’t coming. People shouldn’t be putting these kids or families on blast. Just unfollow them and keep it moving.
Then the kids and their families shouldn’t be selling the gear to the fan base. As a customer, we should complain.
To be fair they may have been promoting it for Dee Webb. I just remember seeing him wearing the hats in a couple of his UF graphics. I would have to go back on Twitter and look into it.
There’s no holds barred on Twitter. Anyone that visits there knows it’s full of idiots running their mouth. There’s no 30 day ban like on fb. You can say whatever you want. Folks that get upset reading it are thin skinned and need to stay in a bubble
