Politics be damned. I think it's great to have this kid on board.

And the best part was a reminder of when Rubio went all SOS ...

“Look, I don’t have anything against Florida State. I think there has to be a school where people that can’t get into Florida can go to college, and so that’s why we have Florida State.”

Lol... yeah, this was more about his dad, and his impersonation SOS, than the kid we just got. :D

If this is accurate, he's very fast:

He has reportedly clocked a 100-meter dash result of 11.18 seconds.

I looked that quote up and I know the media is garbage but it said “Marco draws fire for his comments about FSU”

But isn’t it an actual thing (I know we joke about it here) that all UF grads could’ve got into FSU but few FSU grads could’ve got into UF? Like they literally are the place people go when you get denied by UF

Carter’s son - A HS player that can honestly assess his skill and potential is wise to allow his athletic ability lead to an Ivy League education. That diploma will serve them well in the future Serving on the practice squad at UF or playing Saturdays against Harvard, Yale, … and getting an undergrad Ivy League education is a smart move

Well it’s not elementary school so there’s always hope for some maturity. I know it’s 2023 though.

I didn’t think they gave athletic scholarships, thought you had to legit earn your way in school. If the kid is that intelligent though, I’m sure he could squeak by on a UF education if he wanted to play in The Swamp. I like money like the rest but other life experience to me is much more valuable.

You are correct, no athletic scholarships in the Ivy Leagues.

Are you suggesting we should not allow a young athlete on our team because of his political inclination? What next? Do we keep our Baptists or Muslims off the team? It’s FOOTBALL for crying out loud!

Ivy League scholar athletes get as much financial support ad they need which often equates to a four year free ride. Somebody choosing between UF as a PWO and a roster spot on an Ivy team should take the offer that promises the most playing time and the best post-football career.

Just something to know because I’ve never paid one second of interest to those guys who are the only true student athletes.

Well I wouldn’t call that a football career, more of extracurricular activity. I guess it’s nice they get some perks but they got accepted on their scholarly merit, not running fast like Forest.

I get what your saying but we better have a stronger lockeroom than that. There’s always a ton of diversity .

Rut row, headed towards Too Hot.

Let's get back on track, welcome to all Rubio's. Maybe Anthony can return KOs.
