We have one of the worse defenses in the league and an average offense and you think OL is the biggest need. Have you seen our defense????????????
Honest and up front with recruits and everyone involved. I hate the look of waiting until you get the class signed and then making the move, just seems shady.
Really there hasn't been a unit that performed adequately on the entire D....I'm not sure how you would separate the wheat from the chaff based on unit performance.
But in today's age it doesn't matter, they can just go in the portal and players aren't locked in anymore regardless of a letter o' intent.
He was responding to a fan talking shit to him on Twitter. The guy made a sideways comment about his weight and then said jk.
Our defense lost more games for us than our offense. You don't see that? I'm not saying our offense doesn't need to improve, but our defense was absolutely horrible. With just an average defense we would have won at least three more games.
Wishful thinking here. But maybe we bringing in a new OC and we waiting for him to pick his OL coach.
I can't remember a gator defense that was worse than this unit. They were awful. They gave up over 700 yards to LSU, which doesn't seem possible. Still, we do need O-line upgrades.
Dez can take on a triple team, get knocked down, pop back up and tackle a running back at full speed with one arm. The progress he’s made is incredible.
Jedd Fisch is another perfect example. He was a tennis player in HS, became a Grad Assistant under Spurrier at UF. Never played football. Currently the Head Coach at Arizona.
A successful head coach is only as good as his assistants. They put in all the work! Which is the "other" phase of the game -- coaching -- and I think we have failed at that also. offense - fail defense - fail special teams - fail coaching - fail analyists -fail
I guess I should have said greatest need after secondary and DL, which appear are being addressed. So maybe next greatest need. Is that better?
Two things, With the firing, I don't know how it's going to work out but at least he is doing SOMETHING. Sitting back and doing nothing isn't going to help. Whether these are the right decisions or not time will tell. Next, why can't we just take Iowa's defense. Staff and players. They have consistently given up the fewest points in the country. I think this year other than Penn St they gave up no more than 13-14 points each game. Their offense sucks so it's even more impressive. They played a few teams with a pulse but not world beaters so even if they could limit it to 20 or 21, our record would have been much better.
