We just fired a 54 year old former professional CB with over a decade of SEC defensive coaching experience because his unit was garbage for 2 straight years. Having a young and energetic DC isn't the negative a lot of people on this forum want to make it out to be.
My gut feeling was telling me that some members of the defensive staff never truly bought into what AA was trying to do. Maybe resentment? From afar, there definitely appeared to have communication issues amongst the staff.
Good. In two years, there wasn't a single player in the secondary that looked like they were well coached. The DL drastically underperformed as well. Now hopefully one (or both) of the OL coaches will kick rocks right along with them.
NOOO!!! Muschamp’s DBs were terrible. They were even worse tacklers than Marshall and Kimber. He would teach them to strip the ball. I still remember Benjamin from fsu dragging 3 DBs into the end zone as they tried to strip the ball from the 15 yard line.
