But you don't speak for those "fed up democrats." Nor do you know who they want. What if what they actually wanted was Bernie Sanders (and, undoubtedly, some do)? Should Democrats nominate Bernie?

The Democratic candidate has had the plurality of votes all but one election over the last 30 years. The issue is that the plurality of votes doesn't matter. Something that you claim to support. So they have the majority. You just want that majority not to matter.

    Not sure what is confusing.

    1. Many fed-up Democrats don't want Newsome or Pete. They want Sanders or AOC or somebody like that.
    2. You clearly don't understand fed-up Democrats as a whole.
    3. Democrats are in the majority.
    4. The majority doesn't decide elections based on the system that you have defended to me over the years (the electoral college).

So the dems are just victims of the system? Seems about right. The dont take responsibility accusations seem to fit here.

I'm speaking about strategy. IF they lose to Trump, that is a dem problem. Period. They cant blame Anti-Trump independents. Even conservative ones like me. Im taking a vote from Trump. I'm helping Biden out in essence.

They SHOULD be able to toss someone out there that is good enough to beat the worst republican candidate of our generation or maybe ever.

Meh. Your point is there should be a more acceptable Democrat to moderates than Biden and if the Dems dont find one it’s their fault for losing. Your position is incorrect though. No one who would consider voting democrat is avoiding doing so because of Biden. People who dont like Trump will still vote for Trump. Turnout will be high because of the Trump polarization. If Trump wins it will be by a few thousand votes because that is how we are split ideologically aided by the electoral college bias.

I mean, I stated a factual statement (that the majority doesn't decide an election). How you interpret it is up to you. I made no claim of victimhood, just pointed out that they have received the majority of the votes all but one time over the last 30 years, and every time for the last almost 20. That is what happens with a majority party. Two of the three elections they lost in that period were lost to candidates that received a minority of the votes.

They can blame anybody they want. You choose to blame them (failing to take responsibility as a non-Biden voter, it should be noted since you liked that phrasing in the last sentence). Seems about right.

Why is he the worst Republican candidate of our generation from an electoral standpoint? He has actually generally outperformed the Republicans you prefer.

He's the freaking president. When has an incumbent running for president lost the nomination of his own party in the history of the US? Are the Dems just supposed to push him aside and tell him he's not running? I'd prefer he choose not to run too, but if the president decides he's going to run, it's almost a given that he will win the nomination.

As for Trump, repubs love the guy. He's destroying his competition for the Repub nomination in polling. So there can't be that many on 'his own side cant stomach a vote for him'.

There are enough to cost him an election. Just like 2020.

But there are nowhere near enough to cost him the nomination.

Sure, but being the worst person isn't necessarily an electoral problem. Especially when admission of that causes cognitive dissonance for people willing to vote for him despite that.

    • No. Im right. If you find Biden too hard to vote for over Trump you'd never consider a vote for a democrat.

Wrong again, I’ve voted primarily democrats since I was 18. Voted independent a few times. Never voted for a republican for president. The present group of candidates in both parties are mind numbingly bad. So, at the end of the day, I will vote for the one I deem will do less harm to the country and it’s certainly not biden——-

Are you kidding me? Ive seen your postings and threads. You wouldnt vote for a democrat no matter who it was. You probably left the Dems back when Strom Thurmond did.
