Has there been anything official stating JR has asked for his release other than some websites?
Could this simply be that he was not eligible for early entry due to credits or academics and UF would rather that came from his family and not the University?

What I read was that if he’s in the UF student registry, then he’s been cleared to enroll. He is in the registry.

Agree. Just goes to show that education is not even a minor factor anymore, or he would have enrolled somewhere on Friday. And, for that matter, there's nothing, after all, that says he can't keep piling on more NIL contracts, even if some of the first round of money shovelers didn't come through.

Well, if they just let Denny Crane handle it, he’d just shot em and problem would be solved.

As a counter point, he graduated early. He isn't supposed to be in college until August 2023.

I wonder how much a Heisman candidate going into next year is worth? I know the NFL is going to pay Richardson a lot of millions to sit on the bench for potential.

I think people are forgetting Billy Napier is employed by the University of Florida! Therefore, he can't demand that Rashada does anything!!!

He can however (at least in theory) release JR from the LOI and go land another highly regarded, more physically mature player - and put an end to this crap fest once and for all. With the way things stand now, and with WH now in the discussion, that wouldn't bother me in the least.

There may be several things happening at once.

I know there are official steps to take for release from a LOI. We don't know where that process stands.

I'd like to get Howard regardless but especially to replace Rashada if he's not coming after all.

Enroll somewhere? Like where? He’s signed an NLI to play at UF that still binds him for a year until/unless we can release him from it, whether his NIL works out or not.

With the UM<UF decommitment, followed by this debacle, my feeling is they could be dodging a bullet. Go get Howard and call it a day.

Do you think we won't release him if he wants to go? I don't think that has ever happened before at Florida.

I thought he signed the LOI. Does anyone know if he signed any other documents/contracts/agreements?
