Right now, the fans are jumping in whatever reporter they think they can trust.

We have heard the transcript was the fault, certain lawyers broke deals, $13 million contract was broken. That’s a wide variety of reasons.

Let’s face it, if the kid was promised money and didn’t get it, he has every right to change his mind.

 

I never blamed anyone. I simply stated the kid is being bashed and he may be the victim.

 

But, what exactly happened?
Answer: You don’t know.
Then why do you assume the narrative that paints UF in the negative is correct?
You keep avoiding the answer on that.
Is it NOT realistically possible that Uf, and entities aligned with UF, did nothing wrong here?

Name one entity in this mess who isn’t being bashed. At this point it’s no less wrong to bash UF as it is to bash the kid. It’s all bad, right?

The school is not bashing the kid, the fans are. If I’m blaming anyone, I blame terrible, irresponsible reporting first and fan rumors next.

 

I haven't seen you aggressively defending the University of Florida which is also being bashed but may also be the victim. The lack of supporting Florida, while completely supporting one of the other parties, is what it seems others have tried to discuss with you.

 

Your statement alleged JR was “taking a lot of crap” for “holding out for what he was promised”. What was JR promised, specifically? And, by whom?
Answer: You don’t know.
Is it not realistically possible that JR, meaning his reps, agreed to an offer, and then tried to see if they could holdout for a more lucrative deal? (NOTE: I’m not saying that is true.) Since we ALL seem to agree it’s totally speculative at this time, I think the assumption of promises, offers, who reneged, etc. are more than just a bit premature.

 

This thread has taken a turn for the worse. It basically has lost all informative value and has devolved into some kind of weird back and forth blame game over a subject that in its essence is pure conjecture. Sad to see such infighting over a big nothing burger. The Gator football program will survive that is one thing I can state with positivity.

 

When rashada is the only commit in the entire class to do this shit that tells me there isn't an issue with our system, the issue lies with the sole commit who isn't happy enough to start his college career.

 

So he can't even show good faith and show up in unity with the remaining members of his class while all these negotiations took place in a more private matter? It would make no difference as he could easily transfer by the end of spring ball if it didn't get worked out.

 

I hope this gets resolved one way or another because it's getting a little nasty on here!
