Nobody knows anything. All reporting and social media posts about this are complete conjecture. The only thing we know is something happened. Too bad the constant need to know the unknown has dragged UF through the mud for absolutely no reason. Take a step back and breath. We may never know what happened for real because of the legal deals in place. That is all I know lol

Do you? You did exactly what you claimed the other person of doing. You seriously don’t see your projection? And hostility? Good lord

I indicated, either yesterday or the day before, in my opinion only, Josh Pate knows nothing (not published elsewhere) and is throwing darts and speaking in vague generalities while claiming he knows the whole story and will tell it later when everything becomes clear. Ha!Ha!Ha! Nonsense. Just a way to get cheap clicks right now while folks are desperate for information and also seem like the ultimate "insider." Oh, and trashing Florida, which 247 seems to enjoy. Very few people outside the Florida athletic department know everything. Maybe not even there. Some know several sources and can cobble together the bigger picture. Neither Josh Pate, nor Edgar, nor anyone writing articles or making videos that I've seen so far, are one of those people.

Edit: Just in case I wasn't clear, maybe Josh Pate and others also know the winning Powerball numbers and will tell us all the day after they are announced publicly. LOL! :)

What a total scheissefest this whole thing has turned out to be. Unfortunately, there will probably never be a universally accepted explanation of just exactly how this fiasco unfolded. There will likely be no recitation of irrefutable "facts" laying out who did or said what to whom. And it's hard to imagine a happy outcome for anyone concerned at this point. But there are some things that do appear to be self-evident:

    1. The 13+ million dollar "offer" narrative seems to have originated with an attorney claiming that scUM had "won" JR's services for a paltry 11+ million dollars, despite UF's larger "offer" due to the fact that scUM is such a wonderful place to play FB and UF and their NIL program totally suck.
    2. Paraphrasing; Rashada refuted those figures/assertions the next day and stated that no one was authorized to speak authoritatively on the matter aside from himself and his parents.
    3. Apparently, something happened after the commitment to scUM that caused JR to change his mind and led to his surprise commitment to UF on Dec.6.
    4. Since JR's failure to enroll before the deadline for Spring classes, Edgar, Bianchi, On3/Josh Pate, et al have perpetuated the original narrative concocted by an attorney who is apparently no longer a party to the situation and have run with a series of assumptions and unconfirmed assertions to the detriment of UF in general and to BN by extension. They have generally painted UF in the worst possible light imaginable, despite the fact that at least some of their assumptions appear to have been based on an outright lie.
    5. Now, after first stating that the 13+ million dollar "offer" story was absolutely true, there seems to be some grudging admission by Edgar that no one really knows - after lambasting UF for having welched on a deal that he now says may have never been in place in the first instance. Additionally, the apparent falsity of the 13-mil narrative has recently been reported by none other than Mark Long of the AP. The new "numbers" appear to be something along the lines of an "offer" of 1 million, with JR and company now holding out for 3.5 million - after initially agreeing to the original tender of 1 million.
    6. UF now finds itself in a no-win situation that will probably result in the loss of a highly coveted recruit AND possible long-term damage to the public perception of UF and our ability to recruit effectively for the near future. And to top it off, there is a running gun battle now in progress concerning "who is going back on his word to whom" among the fan base.

I couldn't imagine a more satisfying outcome for the grand standing mediots, inveterate Gator Haters and Billy detractors of the world than what has gone down to this point. But things can of course always get worse. So, to draw from the thoughts of that great paragon of journalistic virtue "Edgar the Unsure"; who the hell really knows anything for a certainty about anything? Except that this is an unspeakable mess, and it will come like manna from heaven when it finally grinds to a halt. End of rant.

And if it is Ruiz, then what would that make Rashada in this mess? A pawn or a player?

Ruiz was asked on his Twitter “I don’t know if you comment, but is 13 million the going rate for a kid ranked between 30-50th in his class.”
His reply was “Never in 1 million years”… phrasing it like that seems a little bit curious to me, normally a person would say “never in a million years.”

There's not a lot of "normal" language spoken in Miami.

So he’s saying $1M. The number I heard was $1.5M that Rashada was waiting on.

Here is the tweet fwiw, I posted it earlier. It was a cryptic response and not by accident. Some believe that was the offer or something just less from Ruiz U, $1mil per for 3yrs. I don’t believe it was any more than that and the UF aligned 3rd party(s) offer was probably slightly more.

Everybody is trying to make sense out of this from incomplete, and sometimes inaccurate, information. Here's what seems apparent:
    1. Money and some sort of agreement was the issue (whether it was $13 million not everyone agrees on the amount).

    2. Rashada is not at fault.

    3. I don't think UF or NIL opportunity companies were at fault. NIL opportunity companies are doing great things. We just got a great lineman, Mazzaccuo, from Baylor because of NIL opportunity companies.

    4. I think this was botched from a behind the scenes dirty agent and/or lawyer who had to squeeze effing blood out of a turnip!

    5. I blame several of these reporters who want to be the first to report a story. Yes, it doesn't look good for the program, but that's the way the stories are spun.

    6. I don't think it's Napier's fault at all.

    7. I blame the new, rocky, system of NIL.

    8. And, I recognize everyone is navigating new waters.

9.We just all need to be civil, whether we agree or not.

    10. Go Gators--that's what it's ALL about!!!
