I was boning up on the NCAA NET Ranking, which has the Gators at #46. KenPom has us at #33. I just looked at the Torvik, which I'd never even looked at before now. They have us also at #33, and other teams' rankings are very close to where KenPom has them.

All three rankings would have us likely in the NCAAT. I think you should generally be in the top 48 or so to receive an at-large bid, but there are no guarantees. Some teams place outside the top 60 and still get in. But the Selection Committee keeps a lot of it secret and apparently still take things into consideration besides computer numbers. Like injuries, for example.

    Here's the Torvik:

In KenPom we're pretty close to the next SEC team (Miss State.) Squint a little and you could say we're tied for 6th.

Even at 7th in SEC, gotta think that's automatic to get in. Now, are we actually 7th best in SEC? We'll know soon. 3 of our first 5 opponents are ahead of us.

Oddly enough, both our Kentucky games are in January.
