Ten year old video and the female fighter did not have her skull broken. Just trying to stir outrage among the base. Mission accomplished.

I don't think Trans males should be able to compete against females but that video is a different fight than the one you reference. It's also 10 years old so it doesn't seem to be a massive issue worth getting upset about or making part of your presidential platform unless you just want to provoke outrage.

 

That's why he posted it. I just don't see why it's worth getting worked up over a one-off incident that happened 10 years ago. Are Trans fighters routinely injuring female fighters? No. Also, it's a bit besides the point but it was a broken orbital bone which is kind of a stretch to describe as a "fractured skull" even if technically true. Additionally, in the "dangerous insanity" video you posted, the female fighter was upset that the ref called the fight because she says she just slipped and was ready to continue.

Sanctioning bodies of MMA should be the ones addressing this issue. No reason for federal involvement imo.

Some examples of female MMA fighters and boxers who suffered serious injuries. All occurred in matches in which both competitors were genetic women.

It's a dangerous sport and injuries happen and let's not forget that the transwomen herself was pummeled in a match against a genetic female fighter.

Although I have mixed feeling as to whether or not transgender athletes should be allowed to compete against genetic females the example in this thread is absurd on its face.
Of the MMA fighters pictured below one is a genetic female the other is Fallon Fox, the transgender fighter. It's not so obvious which is which.


Edit: By the way, I'm not taking a specific position on the issue of whether not a transgender person should be allowed to compete against genetic females. As previously mentioned that issue should be left to the governing body of the sport not the Federal government or for that matter state governments.

 

I have been aware of at least some amateur boxing matches between men and women over the years. Not sure how common it is for transgender women fighting in professional MMA against biological women. Seems like people worried about this would be boycotting MMA or boxing organizations as opposed to beer companies when there's zero physical threat or competitive issues involved there. Also not sure what a president could or couldn't do about it.

Exactly. It's up to those bodies and the fighters involved. Not the feds, unless there's some kind of epidemic of injuries involved. Given that this fight happen a decade ago, it doesn't sound like it.

But, yes, the female fighter should have been told her opponent was trans.

And Ramaswamy seems to want regulation to go far beyond the MMA ring.
