Religion particularly the evangelical sects of Christianity is in decline in the US and Trump has ordered that all MAGA money goes directly to him so good luck with that.

It still amazes me although perhaps it shouldn't that Evangelicals have rejected one of their own who actually lives his religion (Mike Pence) in favor of a serial adulterer who has made statements to the effect that he has never had to ask for forgiveness. Although I'm not a Christian I always thought that one of the core beliefs of Christianity and especially Evangelical Christianity was the idea that we (humanity) are all sinners and that we should repent for our sins. Apparently Trump doesn't believe that applies to him yet Evangelicals continue to worship him.

Evangelicals don’t really believe in God. They believe in hate and controlling people. Authoritarian rule and authoritarian wannabe politicians are fine with them as long as it advances their agenda which is control.

 

If they’re that concerned about evangelical turnout or loyalty, that could spell trouble

 

Hopefully when this group knocks on people's doors they remind their constituents that they would be voting for a rapist

 

Always been a fan of Reed’s work on the political side of things.

 

The idea that Trump is Jesus's kind of guy is a pretty bad look for Christianity.

Giving Reed credit where credit is due he was among the first to weaponize abortion as a political issue going all the way back to 1980 although now that the religious right has succeeded like the proverbial dog that finally caught the car with the overturning of Roe v. Wade the issue is now coming back to bite them in a big way.
