GK & Mrs GK's brick: Emerson Hall Plaza, Memorial Section Gatornana's brick: Emerson Hall Plaza, Section 2. FWIW, we didn't get to choose where the bricks were located. Very cool of you, defense, if you can get by to see the bricks! Maybe grab a pic to post here? TY!
My sincere condolences to her family. I have really missed her posts her posts to this board. Back when Vertigo used to post regularly she and I represented a distinct minority opinion on this board although that's really not the case anymore.
RIP, one of my last interactions was on a private thread where she told me it was cool to say "shit" on TH now, and I'm forever grateful.
Wow! I’m floored. Never met her, but it’s still hard to believe. I’m still trying to figure out how you can die of natural causes at the age of 67? Thank you Lacuna for posting this!
you are welcome. in verti's honor and remembrance i am foregoing capital letters on what i post the rest of the day.
So many great stories from you and also remembering so many of those that no longer post for whatever reason.
She might have something chronic. She had gotten sick I think about a decade ago. Not sure though and never pried. @lacuna no caps
one of the last times we spoke she told me she had an autoimmune disorder that was making life difficult for her. sjogren's. it can lead to a collapse of bodily functions that will cause death. i mentioned that in another thread earlier today. yeah, using no capital letters to honor her today.
Lol... I remember how those reps got gaudy and out of hand... brings back great memories. Vanders was good at that too.
Her health was actually part of why she stopped posting. She did miss it though. She asked me not to tell folks because she was afraid people would convince her to come back. Verti and I had the familiar love/hate posting thing that others have mentioned. We disagreed very much .....but genuinely respected each other and had many off site (twitter)and PM conversations that were filled with great conversation. I was genuinely impacted when I saw this headline in the thread list. Prayers for all who knew her best and loved her.
There were a bunch of us in the pub who played a rep game, to accumulate the stars. There were some folks with not that many posts, but hella lot of stars. I'm sure you remember that you could also comment on the reps to the person you repped. It was fun until it wasn't lol. Then GC switched platforms.
