I really didn't even know how to respond to someone who thinks Trump knows the issues better than, well honestly, about a 6th-9th grader, depending on the individual. But the 6th-9th grader would probably have better judgement and a better temperament, so it's tough.

Actually, what the hell am I saying? It's not tough at all. I would literally vote for my dog over Trump. Because if my dog were POTUS, someone, somehow, somewhere, would assert themself and either build a team or dictate policy and THAT would be better than Trump.

Hell, I actually think that everyone on this board would make a better POTUS than that ignorant criminal fool, leaving open to debate the sole exception of that dude who keeps dying and coming back and turning into his mom. And even with THAT guy it would be close.

Tonight on CNN, the closed captions referred to Trump as "the foreign president." I think they may have mistakenly got it right.

    Great question @lacuna

For me, it is immigration and protecting the southern border.

Over 25 years ago, I spent $ 20,000.00 to be able to live and work in the United States. I had to pay an immigration lawyer, I had to apply for a visa, jump through all the legal hurdles to get my L1B visa to be able to live and work here (that process took over 2 years). After receiving my visa and green card, I had to wait 5 years to apply for citizenship and became a legal citizen of this country in 2010.

I did it according to the letter of the law, and I cannot stomach the fact that others can illegally cross the southern border and live here without going through the legal process.

I think that the most important obligation of a citizen of this country is to vote. Some municipalities are now allowing non citizens to vote and that to me is wrong. I earned my right to vote and non citizens did not earn that right.

I’ll admit, Trump may not be perfect but at least he tried to secure the southern border and make it so everyone has to do it the right way.

The southern border was more secure under Trump than it is now and I believe it will be again if Trump is elected again.

They can exist here but they cannot live the same life you do. Not even close. Was the border closed under djt? Go look at the pre covid trends and think about how covid and djt cuts of economic assistance to central america hurt finance and security in those countries and how that drove more immigrants. Look at djt stopping more funding needed to help. Think, don't react

Poster must not be aware or care that the felon shut down the bipartisan immigration reform legislation this year. But immigration is most important.... Melania got in the country via the talent/gifted route.... I've seen the nudes of her and there was some definite talent. Then through chain migration Melania's parents also got in.... but sure immigration is key.... for some people.

Trump and his allies blocked a bill to address the border. The head of Border Patrol stated that they were the measures needed.

Then Biden implemented some of it by EO and border crossings are way down.

But yeah, go ahead and vote Trump if you want to see American Dachau and Auschwitz camps built in the USA.

Trump shut down the "bipartisan" immigration reform legislation this year?

How exactly did HE do that? He does not hold an office, unless he's using the Obama method - pull the strings of the puppet.

Talent and gift route & chain migration is still using the legal process, right?

Or did she and her family sneak across the border?

Regardless, Lacuna asked why and I stated why.

Ok, you weren't aware that the felon requested the legislation be shut down. Sorry did not realize you were one of the disingenuous types. You probably believe Melania's modeling was talent enough for citizenship as well. LOL

he told the maga dependent sheep in dc to not vote for it. are you really that disconnected to not understand that?

the legal process is f'd up. it cannot process the number of immigrants required to provide labor for this economy. it needs to be fixed. the bill that djt killed by telling them to not vote for it so he could campaign on it would have helped but immigration reform needs much more than that. luckily you had time and funds, these people are being starved, shot and raped, they have neither of the luxuries you did and we are not funding the effort required so djt could fundraise off of it and make commercials

It occurred to me to start a thread asking why people hate Trump so much.

But I refrained when I realized that would just turn into another hate thread.

It's great practice to not opine on topics on which you are uninformed:

Here’s a question for Trump supporters from the man himself - was he hotter before or is he hotter now?!

The analogy with Dachau and Auschwitz is somewhat of a stretch although I can easily envision Trump's internment camps for undocumented immigrants including families with young children resembling those for Japanese Americans during World War II although I think Trump's tents will be more primitive than the temporary shelters constructed during WW II. By the way and hopefully this is a hypothetical which will never happen it wouldn't surprise me if a significant number of American citizens and legal immigrants incorrectly end up in the camps or being deported under the Trump/Stephen Miller deportation initiative.

A potential Trump administration 2 press release:

Today, a group of roughly 500 illegal immigrants along with some accidentally detained left wing journalists died in a processing detention warehouse when some canisters of Zyklon B gas being stored there were knocked over and opened when they hit the floor. This warehouse unfortunately had no air circulation or windows.

Due to the health concerns these animals', err people's corpses caused for the living prisoners nearby, they were disposed of neatly in the handy, person-sized ovens that were just installed.

The Trump administration apologizes to anyone this accident may have affected.
